Perfect for a couple, this annexe offers a tranquil setting surrounded by countryside and is a great base for exploring the wider area.

Surrounded by fields and located on a working farm within the owner's grounds in Cambridgeshire, this annexe has been built into a comfortable base for couples looking to get away from it all and celebrate any occasion. Wildlife lovers should visit Hammerton Zoo and if cycling, walking and water sports are something you enjoy, then head to Grafham Water or Rutland Water both within easy reach and the tour of Cambridge cycle route is on the door step.  The annual Little Gransden Air Show is a fantastic day out in the summer and features classic planes, cars and the Red Arrows, and is just a short drive away. A little further afield, visit the beautiful city of Cambridge or for a wonderful day out head to the historic town of Stamford having a variety of independent shops, boutiques and eateries. The annual Burghley horse trials take place, at Burghley House each year in early September.

You approach this annexe through the main gate, enter and arrive into the kitchen area where you can kick off your walking boots and head on through to the rest of your holiday home. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal if you decide to dine in and you have an electric oven and hob, a microwave, Nespresso coffee machine and a fridge with an ice compartment. The kitchen leads through to the bedroom which has a super-king-size bed and a spacious en-suite shower wet room and WC, so revitalise your senses before you head out for the day. The small hallway leads through to the lounge area which is cosy and has a two-seater leather sofa, a dining table for two and a Smart TV so you can still catch up and stream your favourite box set whilst on holiday.

The outdoor space is to the front of the property and is part-grass part-patio. As well as a table and chairs for you to enjoy some fizz and al fresco dining, you also have views out to the countryside; beyond the hills is, in fact, the border of Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire. Relax in the bubbles of the Lay-Z-Spa hot tub. Your private off-road parking space is to the front of the annexe. This property has a private water supply.

A modern bright apartment attached to the owner's house. Well equipped for a short break. It was convenient to have additional accommodation when renting the large house.

The property was lovely, just as described on the website. The location is scenic with views of the fields to look at whilst enjoying the hot-tub. Bar some slippy floors (after using the shower/hot-tub), the trip was faultless. The hosts were there if we needed but not over the top - the perfect balance. Would definitely recommended the property foRead morer those needing a little getaway! We appreciated the small touches like a bottle of bubbly and treats on arrival. Hide

We had wonderful weekend here. Accomodation was spotless and modern and the hosts had added lovely extras like robes, slippers, prosecco. The hot tub was so relaxing in the evenings and really added to our weekends enjoyment. We will definitely return.

The annex was lovely. It has been renovated to a high standard and was very clean. There were lovely touches on arrival of snacks and bubbles in the fridge which were very appreciated. For guests who are planning to rent both the Calf Shed and Norfield, it's worth noting that the Calf Shed is actually attached to the owners property rather than NorRead morefield and in order to move between properties, you have to walk a short way along a fast main road which has no street lights at night. Sawtry is a good location for exploring the areas around Cambridge and Peterborough. The Calf Shed is just outside the village in a peaceful setting and is both modern and comfortable.

Me and my partner had a amazing time at the property it was really quiet and a lovely experience we definitely would come back for another long weekend stay! Nicola and Richard were amazing hosts and were very attentive! The hot tub was great and prepared ready for our arrival the property was really clean and well maintained.

Beautiful interior decorated and equipped to a high standard with the largest bed we have ever slept in. The cottage is in a very peaceful rural location but ideal for visiting many attractions across different counties.

Great location, very clean and good standard of facilities. The hot tub was a bonus and with the good weather, we could make full use of the barbeque set on the patio. The location is ideal as there are so many interesting places to visit within a close radius of travel.
