Set in the heart of the rural village of Burton Bradstock, this chocolate box cottage is ideally situated for taking in the local sights, with Abbotsbury, Pilsdon Pen and the Cerne Abbas Giant all within reach. There are many scenic walking and cycling routes that run directly from the property, taking in the breathtaking views on offer in this picturesque area. Ideally placed for touring Dorset and East Devon there are a selection of nearby towns to explore, such as Beaminster and Bridport, which boasts popular vintage shops and is ideal for an afternoon spent browsing or sampling the cafe culture. Visit nearby Hive beach on foot or take a trip to Lyme Regis and West Bay.

Heading into the cottage from the quiet no through lane, you are met by a welcoming hallway. To the left is the lounge, which has a  wood burner effect gas fire and Smart TV/DVD, making it the perfect spot for relaxing after a country walk. Just opposite here is the kitchen/diner which has an AGA. This charming room is the ideal spot for leisurely family meals and is well-equipped with an electric oven and induction hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer. Heading back into the hallway, the stairs take you up to the first floor, which offers two double bedrooms, one with a feature fireplace and TV and a further twin room. Along the landing is the bathroom which has a shower over the bath and WC.

Heading outside from the rear door you will find a pretty enclosed walled garden with patio and garden furniture. Venturing back towards the front of the property you will find 1 parking space on the grass verge opposite and roadside parking nearby, subject to availability.

The location is fabulous as you can walk to the beach to the Hive restaurant and it has 2 pubs in the village and you can get out to walk along the coast so easily. Close to so many interesting beaches and walks. Great Location

We loved Burton Bradstock. The cottage is in a great location with lots of dog walks on the doorstep and just a 10 minute walk to the fabulous Hive Beach. The Hive Beach Cafe serves good food. Two village pubs within walking distance of the cottage too and we ate at both. The cottage is spacious, and well equipped in terms of appliances, crockery, bed linen etc. Burton Bradstock is a lovely village so the location is good. But the cottage is quite tired and in need of maintenance and the standard of cleanliness was not what we would expect. It was nice to have a secure garden for the dog. Fantastic location within a gorgeous village. Perfect for being able to access beach, pubs, shop and restaurant/ bar / beach cafe without having to drive. Perfect combination of village, coast and countryside. Gorgeous cottage with great facilities (sharp knives, good glasses, games). Super comfortable beds.

The village is great and the cottage is comfortable and well appointed. We found one bathroom/toilet a stretch for 6 people. Reception on the TV is not brilliant.

We had a lovely stay at Clapper Cottage, the location is faultless with two pubs to choose from and a 10 minute walk to the beach. The house was very clean upon arrival and the beds very comfortable.

We had a wonderful and relaxing holiday in this lovely characterful cottage. It's in a peaceful location close to all village facilities and the beach. There are two great pubs in the village and The Hive cafe on the nearby beach which all serve good food . It was a perfect holiday as there was no need to get in the car to drive anywhere! Thankyou!

Winning position and a lovely cottage for a week. The Three Horseshoes nearby serves superb quality food and drink and is well worth booking for a meal. Would thoroughly recommend this delightful cottage to anyone thinking of visiting Dorset.

The location of this cottage is fabulous. Short walk to the lovely Hive Beach and easy access to 2 good local pubs. The cottage is quiet and roomy and we had a lovely stay in glorious weather.
