Situated on the edge of Bodmin Moor, the village of St Breward is 1.5 miles away with its welcoming pub and a village shop which offers a wide range of local produce that can be ordered online for delivery to your door. There are walking trails galore, with the two highest points in Cornwall, Rough Tor and Brown Willy, directly accessible from the cottage. On a clear day, you can see all the way to both the south and north Cornish coasts from the summits. Alternatively, you could join the Camel Trail at Wenford Bridge, where 18 miles of disused railway line along beautiful countryside await. The Camel Trail is suitable for all ages and abilities. Pony trekking is also available nearby. A 10-mile drive will find you in the pretty market town of Wadebridge, or you could visit Rock (15 miles) and catch a ferry to the bustling fishing port of Padstow, famed for its working fishing harbour and outstanding seafood restaurants. The accommodation is an excellent base to explore both the Cornish coast and rugged Bodmin Moor.

The spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner features wooden beams overhead, solid wood flooring, a warming wood burner and a comfy sofa with fabulous views of the garden and countryside beyond. The modern kitchen is fully equipped for all your catering needs. The bedroom has a double bed and stylish en-suite shower room with WC.

Outside is a lovely stone-wall enclosed garden with far-reaching views over the moor and surrounding countryside and a gravelled patio area with garden furniture. The perfect spot to relax and unwind, surrounded by nothing but the sights and sounds of nature.

The cottage is lovely and contemporary, with a very well supplied kitchen. Would definitely recommend a stay. Straight out onto the moors, you can sit in front of the fire and watch the ponies wander across the way. For those with wandering dogs, it's worth bringing a long lead for the garden. There were also additional items not expected such as binoculars to take in the views and books if its raining.
