  • Situated in an idyllic English country village with a stunning view of a historic clocktower and herd of red deer
  • Stroll to Abberley’s village inn – a mile away – or visit market towns Bewdley and Great Malvern
Property code: OC-89033

One of two adult only luxury lodges named after the deer that roam the surrounding landscape, this idyllic retreat sits within a farm just a mile from the village of Abberley. Wonderful views of the clocktower that rises from nearby woodland will inspire your walks here; close-by, the 31-mile Worcestershire Way wends through the hills, valleys and lush landscapes of the Abberley and Malvern Hills Geopark. A gateway to Wyre Forest – the UK’s largest native woodland – the Georgian market town of Bewdley (9 miles north) is a stopping point for the Severn and Severn Valley Steam Railway. Jump on a vintage train and you can travel to Kidderminster (11 miles) or Bridgnorth, 21 miles. Alternatively, visit Victorian spa town Great Malvern (18 miles south), calling in first at cathedral city Worcester, 13 miles from your doorstep.

A path winds through a meadow between the car park and this beautiful couple’s bolthole; load your luggage into the wheelbarrow to arrive in true country style! Cedar cladding, a large decked terrace and huge sliding doors help the property blend seamlessly into the surrounding landscape. Step across the terrace and, inside, the scene is set for romance, with an open-plan living space where two can enjoy together-time in total privacy. At one end,  the kitchen is chic, compact and contains all you’ll need for effortless self-catering while behind it, the shower room is similarly stylish. An inviting sofa sits close to the Smart TV and occasional table in the lounge area. Cuddle up and stream your favourite programmes or simply soak up the views across the landscape beyond before relocating to the adjacent king-sized bedroom.

Bathrobes add a boutique-hotel hint of luxury as step between your bedroom and the decked terrace, where a luxury hot tub promises to soothe both mind and body. Yoga mats encourage more acts of self-care; stretch them out on the terrace for morning stretches in the fresh air. Conveniently close to the kitchen, at the other end of the terrace there’s lounge-style outdoor furniture and a gas BBQ so you can enjoy al fresco feasts as the sun goes down; with no light pollution to spoil them, the starscapes here can be stunning. This property is adults only.

Fallow lodge was a lovely place to stay. It had everything we needed for our week stay and in such a great location. We enjoyed some beautiful walks straight from the door and both Manor Arms and Elms Hotel are walkable. A great place to stay!

Loved our stay here. We went for a long weekend to get away from the city (London) and loved it. Lovely countryside and views where we were and great walks in the area. We loved that there really wasn't much around so was a perfect chance to relax at the cabin. The Colliers Cafe was also great for breakfast (all of this is in the welcome book too). Hide

Quiet & relaxing. The place was really easy to find and is nestled in a field so is very private and quiet. It really is a place for couples to get away from it all and relax in the hot tub gazing at the stars.

Comfortable bed. Great privacy. Nice walks with nice view nearby. 20 on uber only from Worcester train station. Very relaxing hot tube looking out to the field. And we do see red deers a lot from afar! Nice hosts. The location is spectacular and very quiet. You feel miles from anywhere even though Stourport is only 20 mins away ( and well worth a visit). The recommendations in the visitor's handbook for farm shops/cafes and pubs was brilliant. Try the all-day breakfast at Colliers cafe! The bed is very comfy and the shower good. Hot tub is fab. We loved it.
