So, you’re after some breathing space offline, a break from the 9-5 and perhaps just some time spent with the ones you love most. Have you ever considered that a glamping trip may be just your thing? There’s nothing we adore more than sipping a morning coffee listening to the peaceful sound of the outdoors or taking a nap in a cosy spot by a log fire – but I bet you didn’t know that you can do all of this in one of our many yurts, cabins and shepherds' huts across the country.
We’re fans of reconnecting, getting back to our roots and enjoying our surroundings and, as glamping brings you just that, we have rounded up a few of our favourite glamping sites in the UK. And this really is just a few, so if you want to explore further then do check out more of our glamping breaks.

This really is a glamping escape with the ‘wow’ factor, talk about #glamping goals. It’s vintage styling and stunning secluded countryside location pair together for the most epic abode and the Instagrammability is off the charts. Why not book it for a solo trip and relish having all its beauty to yourself for a few days? Or, invite along a few friends and book The Prince Regent and Goldings Lodge, which are situated on the same grounds for a lavish celebration!
Sleeps: 6 and 2 dogs
Set just above a river, within 50 acres of private land, enjoy spectacular rural views with some of your nearest and dearest in this unique, open-plan yurt.
Feeling daring? Then take a refreshing dip in the river’s plunge pool just below the accommodation, which can also be used for a spot of fishing throughout your stay.
Or perhaps you want a locally sourced, home cooked meal? You can get that too with a quick trip to the local Crickhowell butcher, and the outdoor fire pit makes the perfect spot for some al fresco cooking when weather allows!

This charming shepherd hut is the perfect spot for fully immersing yourself in country life and all the wonderful attractions the Peak District has to offer.
On arrival, load up the handy wheelbarrow with your belongings, pop on your wellies and be free to enjoy the 38 acres of peaceful surroundings in which your new abode is set. The myriad of walks on your doorstep provide that much-needed time for switching off, fully relaxing and getting lost amongst the landscape. You may even end up at one of the local village pubs, eating a locally sourced dish with a glass of something nice and refreshing after. Sounds good? We thought so.

A true piece of artisan craftsmanship, Ty Donkey was hand built to bring together the best of both a recycled railway cabin and a cosy log cabin, while ensuring minimal damage to the beautiful environment. The resident donkey and rescue pony make the perfect neighbours and, with hire bikes delivered to your door, it’s never been easier to adventure without a car.
Sleeps: 2 and 1 dog
If you can’t quite choose between a quiet, secluded getaway or a cultural city break then this unique glamping experience is made just for you. Surrounded by beautiful, rolling countryside yet only a short drive into the centre of York, you can flit between brunches and sightseeing, to nesting and napping. Plus, we’ve heard the cosy day bed in this gorgeous shepherd’s hut is the perfect spot for starting that book you’ve been meaning to read.
Sleeps: 2
Let’s be honest, this is more on the ‘glam’ side of the glamping scale than ‘camping’. You can lounge in your own private hot tub watching the stars come out at night or wake up in the morning for breakfast overlooking the fields and distant hills.
The interior looks like a boutique hotel, with a stylish fully fitted kitchen, a plush double bed and even central heating. You don’t get that in a budget pop-up tent. But if you want to sound hardcore and tell your mates you roughed it going camping in the Scottish Highlands, that’s cool – we won’t tell.
Sleeps: 2
Close to the quaint Devon fishing village of Clovelly, Bo-peep is the perfect location for a romantic glamping trip for two. With a bespoke wood burner inside and lots of home comforts provided, you can snuggle down and hibernate away from the rush of day to day life.
In rain or shine, if it’s freezing or sweltering, a glamping break is the ultimate, laid back, get-back-to-nature escape that just has to be on your agenda this year. So don’t forget to book yours now.
