Property code: G0167

Perched above Robin Hood's Bay in the delightful village of Fylingthorpe, which offers a traditional pub, convenience store and children's play park,  and is less than a mile from Robin Hood's Bay.  Robin Hood's Bay is a great place for adults and children, venture down into the picture-postcard village and take a stroll along the beach, where the kids will enjoy rock-pooling and fossil hunting, you can also walk to nearby Boggle Hole cove complete with goblin cave or take to the cobbled streets to find a range of shops, pubs, cafes and the obligatory seaside fish and chip shop.  The woodland walk with Falling Foss waterfall and tea gardens are definitely worth a visit, as is Whitby, both within 5 miles, where you can pick up the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. With the North Yorkshire Moors and the East coast on your doorstep you really are spoilt for choice for days out, all within easy reach. Conveniently the village has a bus service on the doorstep to Whitby and Scarborough.

Head inside the comfortable yet spacious home from home and leave your worries at the door and let your feet pad across oak floors, moving to the lounge. A family room with comfortable sofas, a cosy wood burner effect gas fire, so you can curl up with your favourite book, switch on the TV or listen to your favourite play list on the Smart TV (with Netflix) and Sony Bluetooth speaker. With traditional board games also provided, you can find something the whole family will enjoy. The well equipped kitchen has everything you could need to stir up a hearty family meal, with a range cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and coffee machine, also furnished with a small dining table. For extra convenience, there is also a utility/boot room with a washing machine, dryer and additional fridge. For family meal times there is a light and airy dining room to the front of the house. When tiredness kicks in, three bedrooms can be found upstairs. The master bedroom has a cast-iron double bed and an en-suite bathroom with huge free-standing bath – a tempting proposition after a long day sightseeing. The second bedroom is a pretty twin room great for children and the third bedroom (located on the top floor) has a double bed and sofa. A family bathroom is located on the first floor and is home to a large walk-in shower and WC.

You can take your morning cuppa to the front of the property where you can sit on the bench and watch the world go by.  On street parking is available close to the cottage.

This is a immaculately clean, comfortable and well equipped cottage. It has everything you could need and the welcome treats were very much appreciated. On the bus route if you want to walk into Whitby and get the bus back. Good pub directly opposite with great food.

One of the best places we have stayed in as everything so comfortable, well thought out, easy to use (heating easy to boost), cosy lounge fire. Beds comfortable and cosy duvets and towels. Utility to dry things excellent. Super super place.

By far the best appointed house we have ever stayed in. Super thoughtful and generous hosts meant we thoroughly enjoyed our week at Vale View. There are 2 shops within 1 minutes walk and both offer meal options as well as the usual supplies. We parked 2 cars directly outside the house. We used the bus, bus stop directly outside, to go into Whitby. We walked to Robin Hoods Bay. Had a great Sunday lunch and the pub across the roaRead mored, excellent portions and well priced. Welcome pack was lovely and added bonus of a coffee machine and pods. Will definitely be back.
