Located in the pretty coastal village of Brancaster Staithe, this cottage enjoys an excellent location on the North Norfolk coast, within 10 miles of some of the region’s best loved beaches in Holkham, Hunstanton, and Wells-next-the-Sea. Although small the village is well-appointed and has everything that guests will need to have an enjoyable holiday, including a fantastic shop specialising in fresh local seafood which will no doubt be of great interest to keen cooks. For those who prefer to eat out there are two pubs in the village, both serving food. A short walk away the village harbour is a lovely place to enjoy a wander around and also offers a choice of boat trips taking visitors around the coast and out to the picturesque Scolt Head Island, home to an abundance of wildlife.
The reverse-level layout of this cottage means that on arrival, the first rooms that guests will come to are two bedrooms and a shower room offering a shower and WC. The first bedroom is a pleasant double room, whilst the second bedroom is a delightful twin room. Stairs lead from the hallway up to the first floor where the main living area is situated. This gorgeous open-plan space is a wonderfully light-filled room comprising a lounge/kitchen/diner, with the lounge area overlooking the front aspect of the property. There are two leather sofas to relax on, perhaps whilst enjoying a film on the TV/DVD or getting lost in a good book in front of the cosy wood burner. To the opposite end of the room, the kitchen/diner looks out over the marshes which lie behind the property and has double doors opening onto a Juliet balcony allowing guests to take in the fresh sea air. The dining table seats four diners, whilst the kitchen area is well-equipped with an oven, hob, microwave fridge, dishwasher, and washing machine. In the corner of the room a door leads through to the second shower room, which again offers a shower and WC.
To the rear of the property there is a small patio area with garden furniture provided, allowing guests to enjoy sundowners in the evening. There is direct access from here to the surrounding marshes, allowing guests to head out for leisurely walks, which will be of particular interest to those with an interest in wildlife and photography. There is off-road parking for one car on the driveway, with further roadside parking available just outside the cottage.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
