A fabulous base from which to explore The Lakes and coastline. This elegant property has been styled with traditional features such as beams and stone walls.

Situated in a pretty village under 3 miles from Dalston where you will find all local amenities, this is such a great location for exploring Cumbria. Both the Cumbrian Way and the Reivers Cycle Route pass through Dalston and you’ll be less than 10 miles from the Lake District National Park. Keswick and Ullswater are both within 30 miles, and both the fells around Derwentwater and the Helvellyn range offer some fabulous walks. The cottage is ideally situated for exploring the western end of Hadrian's Wall and the quiet beauty of the Solway Coast, perfect for photographers and wildlife spotters at dusk. Nearby Watchtree Nature Reserve is also perfect for young families with its accessible cycle routes and bike hire. There are plenty of country lanes and tracks around the village which are quiet and worth exploring. Keen cyclists will love Whinlatter Forest which is close to Keswick and has some brilliant, graded mountain bike tracks and a Gruffalo Trail.

This reverse level property has been lovingly restored and transformed into a stunning holiday cottage. The cottage is decorated with original artworks, and across the farmyard is Linden Print Studio which offers art classes and print workshops.

At the front of the property, there is a bistro table and chairs where you can sit out on a warm evening or enjoy an early morning coffee. The is parking for one car at the front of the property.

We had a lovely time. Cottage was just right for our needs. Only one comment for dog owners. There is a staircase which is wooden. Give consideration if you have an old dog.
