Situated in the south of Cumbria, The Stables is the perfect place to get away and enjoy all this area has to offer with the town of Milnthorpe nearby offering plenty of shops and eateries. Just a few minutes drive is the hidden gem coastal town of Arnside with amazing beaches, stunning views and a number of places for alfresco drinks and dining. As an added plus Arnside has one of the area’s best fish and chip shops. For those keen walkers there are many walks from your door up to the nearby fells and also two beautiful local deer parks. All you need to decide is whether to turn right or left! You can start or finish at Levens Hall, with beautiful gardens and the world’s oldest topiary and indulge in ‘the Kitchen’ for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea.

This property offers great character, a high standard of accommodation throughout and has been thoughtfully designed ensuring that the cottage is a true one-off. In the kitchen/diner a bistro dining table sets the scene and the well-equipped kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer along with a SONOS smart speaker. There is also a ground floor WC. Stairs lead from the ground floor to the lounge which is a wonderfully  light space with views from triple aspect windows. A comfortable sofa sits under the beamed ceiling in front of the log stove. With a Smart TV, DVD player and a SONOS smart speaker this sanctuary-like space has been beautifully finished with loving attention to detail, perfect for relaxing with a late-night film, reading in the light airy space or relaxing to music. Crossing the landing to the luxury bedroom, there is a stunning king-size bed and dressing room with dressing table and plenty of storage space for clothes. Beyond this there is a spectacular bathroom with deep bath, large walk-in shower, heated floor, vanity basin and WC. Since changing over laundry providers we now offer luxury bedding and towel sets to add to the truly boutique feel of the bedroom and fabulous bathroom.

We had a lovely short break at the cottage. It is situated in a nice, quiet countryside village. It is not too far away from other lake district destinations for walks and activities.

Lovely property in a great location so could easily drive to all areas of the Lake District. All the modern facilities and decor were great, exactly what we needed for a week away for two and the dog. A few footpaths around the property too. Very quiet and nice area and just down the road to some great walks to take the dog.

Pity the local pub was "waiting for new couple to run it", however some lovely pubs within easy driving distance. Good walking area.
