This property is situated at the heart of the traditional seaside resort of Eastbourne, just across the road from the town’s wide shingle beach. The town’s restored Victorian pier is just a three-minute walk away with its nightclub, tea rooms, and fish and chip restaurant. Other attractions in the town include an interesting lifeboat museum, a seafront fort built during the Napoleonic Wars, and a fantastic outdoor sports centre, which offers tuition in stand-up paddle boarding, windsurfing, and even raft making. There is also a good range of both high-street and independent shops in the town, as well as a wide choice of pubs, restaurants, and cafes.

The front door of this attractive cottage opens directly into the cosy lounge. This room has a lovely traditional feel, thanks to the whitewashed cobblestone walls and low ceilings, and offers a comfortable sofa, armchair, and TV/DVD. Just off the lounge is a contemporary-style kitchen/diner which is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine, and has a folding dining table at one end. There is a downstairs cloakroom and a door from the kitchen leads out to the patio area, making it easy for guests to enjoy al fresco meals. Steep, narrow, cottage-style steps lead to the first floor where the first of the property’s two bedrooms is situated: a double room which has a wrought iron bedstead and has been charmingly styled to create a tranquil retreat. The bathroom is also located on this floor and offers a sumptuous roll-top bath, separate shower, and WC. A second set of steep turned stairs lead to a single room which is situated in the eaves of the house, and therefore has a low ceiling and some reduced head-height.

Outside, there is an enclosed courtyard with garden furniture accessed through a door from the kitchen. There is private parking space within a gated carpark 0.1 miles away.

My partner and I stayed here for a long weekend. We booked very last minute and Mrs Norris was incredibly helpful, giving me a couple of calls to check everything and letting us check out late. She was also brilliant to recommend us a few places - Harry Ramsden's for fish and chips + La Locanda Del Duca for awesome Italian food. The cottage is loveRead morely and cosy in a great location close to the sea, supermarket and town centre. We felt safe in the area, no issues with the alley. Highly recommend! Hide

Lovely little cottage, sensitively renovated and well equipped. It can be noisy from passers-by, as the front door is straight into the sitting room, directly off a little roadway. The private parking is excellent, as street parking almost impossible.

Beautifully renovated to a very high standard, with all mod-cons and a smart TV for quiet nights in . And the roll top bath is to die for! Great central location and super close to the beach. Within walking distance of Beachy Head and the stunning Seven Sisters National Park as well as plenty of pubs and the town centre. This is a charming little cottage, perfect for being within walking distance of the beach, promenade and town, and also within easy driving distance of other places of interest. We very much appreciated the owners welcome package and contact to make sure everything was OK for us. We really enjoyed our stay.

Had a great break with my two teenagers. Fantastic location. It was cosy, but perfect for the 3 of us. We arrived in the dark and struggled to find it - driving away from the pier on Marine Parade, turn into Marine Road at Gelato Famoso, the cottage door is down the first passage on the LHS and the parking space another 15m down Marine Road in the Read moreblack iron gated area on the LHS. Pros: super close to the beach. Convenient for shops, fish and chips, ice cream. Cosy size best suited to 1 or 2 people. Dog friendly. 15 min walk from the station and gated parking 30 seconds' walk away for 1 car. Cons: General passersby to the cottage are about a foot away from the living room window, so you feel looked-in on - this is also problRead moreematic if you have a reactive dog with you. A lovely cottage near the seafront but the area behind is not very nice at all and at night didnt feel particularly safe. Lots of noise in the night in the alley where the cottage is located too.

Fabulous cottage, beautifully clean and superbly equipped. The location is perfect being just across the road from the beach and easy walk of a great selection of restaurant. We will definitely return again.

Sail Loft is in a great position to take advantage of all that Eastbourne has to offer. It is a perfect cottage for two, comfortable, well appointed and only a minutes walk from the beach.

We had a lovely week away. Cottage had everything we needed and was very clean and tidy. Location was excellent being so close to the promenade. Mrs Norris was a very attentive owner making sure everything was fine. The allocated parking place was a great advantage as general parking is a nightmare in Eastbourne
