This homely, stone-built property dates back to the 18th Century when it was originally a local village pub known as ‘The Badger Inn’. Finished to a very high standard in a contemporary and quirky style, the cottage has become a lovely, inviting place for a family or friends' holiday, close to the beach, bustling harbour, coastal paths and many of the local attractions in and around Seahouses on the Northumberland coast. It is within close proximity to a number of shops and restaurants and is just a short drive from the many historical and natural treasures that Northumberland offers. Take day trips to the nearby historic castles at Bamburgh or Alnwick, which fans will recognise as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter movies. You can take a boat trip from Seahouses' harbour across to the Farne Islands to see puffins, seals and other wildlife.
The entrance is through the rear door into the bright utility room with a washer/dryer. This leads directly into the well-equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and cafetière. Moving through to the light and airy dining room with its feature fireplace, beautiful, fresh décor and large dining table with comfortable chairs where you can enjoy your meals in together . Across the hallway, you will find the cosy lounge area, with a comfortable sofa and two stylish armchairs. Snuggle up in front of the wood burning stove for those relaxing nights in catching up on your favourite film on DVD. There is a TV/DVD, a selection of films, books and a variety of games to keep the whole family occupied. On the first floor, there are two spacious bedrooms; the master with a king-size bed, two sets of bedside drawers, a wardrobe and hairdryer while the twin bedroom has two single beds, a wardrobe and chest of drawers. The generously proportioned family bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC.
Outside, guests are offered an allocated, off-road parking space for one car. The cottage does not have any outside space however, the main harbour, beach and coastal path are just a short walk from the property, as are all the village amenities, including friendly pubs, restaurants and a wide variety of food and gift shops.
