With public footpaths on the doorstep and the canal nearby, this is the perfect place to get some fresh air in your lungs. The historic town of Lancaster is nearby, and the famous seaside resort of Blackpool is within easy reach. Popular spots such as the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District are easily accessible. Set in its own private farmland and surrounded by unspoilt open countryside, this is an unrivalled location for exploring the stunning surrounding area. This upside-down property is a quirky home away from home.

Entering onto the ground floor, you will come to the bedroom first, with a super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a twin on request), and also the bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. Heading up to the first floor, you’ll find the main hub of the house where open-plan living is at its finest. The lounge area has all you need to enjoy a romantic evening in after a day out, with a leather two-seater sofa and an armchair surrounding the wall-mounted Smart TV – ideal for a movie night. The kitchen/diner still retains some characterful barn features such as exposed beams, and the style resembles this. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, and a microwave along with an oak dining table and chairs to enjoy your meals.

To the front, the private yard is perfect for sitting out and enjoying a morning cup of tea. There is on-site parking for two cars. Shared washing facilities are on-site, including a washing machine and tumble dryer.

A quirky well appointed cottage where you live upstairs and sleep downstairs. Staying on a working farm we saw calves and goats. The holiday lets are situated in front of the farm so you are never disturbed by the work on the farm. We wanted a place near to the Forest of Bowland and this was perfect. Ideal cottage and location for couples. Cottage layout ideal. Large comfortable living and cooking area upstairs and plenty light and ventilation due to velux windows. Bedroom nice and cool. Decent layout throughout. Only downside - slight invasion of privacy when entering and leaving as access is via small garden area of adjoining cottage. Property is a little remote but we prefer that. You would need a car to get around but there are some really nice canal walks from the property. It had everything we needed and was as the pictures shown. We were very pleased with our stay.
