Picturesque wooden lodge with enclosed terrace, set within six acres of countryside and woodland of which you are free to roam, relax in the sauna and hot tub, a perfect retreat whatever the occasion.

You will be well served within this peaceful oasis where you can relax by the natural swimming pool or stroll through the acres of mature woodland. You are just a short drive from the vibrant market town of Ledbury, where you will find an excellent choice of amenities offering good local food and crafts. Known for its unique black and white timber frame cottages, lying on the border of Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire, this ideal location showcases the region's finest countryside and with a wealth of historic towns and villages, including the Malvern Hills and the cathedral cities of Hereford, Gloucester and Worcester. For the best of both worlds, there is a train station just a short distance away to take a stress-free train ride on the direct Worcester and Hereford line to London.

Drive through the electric gates and into the woodland where you will gain your first glimpse of the lodge. The wooden steps will lead you to the terrace where you can step inside to the lounge, a spacious room with comfortable sofas ready for you to sink into and relax after a day exploring, there is also a TV/DVD and wood burner for when the nights draw in. There is a kitchen/diner to the rear, the kitchen is well-equipped with gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and dishwasher, and a washing machine is found in the utility area. The dining area offers seating for everyone to enjoy a meal together. There is also a single bedroom on the ground floor and shower room with shower and WC. When the day is done, climb the stairs to the first floor where you will find two bedrooms. A king sized room to the front of the lodge with en-suite shower room and WC and an enclosed balcony that’s perfect for a morning coffee. There is a further double bedroom to the rear of the lodge with countryside views and en-suite shower room and WC.

Step outside onto the terrace at the rear of the property where there is seating for everyone to enjoy al fresco dining, a great BBQ, outdoor shower and private hot tub. You also have access to the natural outdoor swimming pool, and a shared sauna and gym. There is allocated off-road parking for two cars.

Gorgeous, specious but still cosy lodge. Lovely hot tub and log burner. Comfy sofas and everything you could think of in the kitchen. Great place to stay.

A well organised cottage in relaxing surroundings. The pool is tranquil all be it unheated but was enjoyable on warmer days. We soon warmed back up in the hottub. The gym is very well equipped too. Owner is welcoming and my children loved the animals.

!SELECTED!The Damselfly Retreat!ENDOFSELECTED! is fantastic. It's in beautiful surroundings and very private, with plenty of parking. The lodge itself is stunning. The rooms are spacious with lots of storage space and bathroom facilities for each room. The living room is very cosy, and it was so warm, without even using the log fire. A beautiful lodge - comfortable, spacious and with everything you need. We especially liked the hot tub and log burner. Clive and Shelly were great hosts. We hope to return as there is still a lot to see in the area.

Lovely lodge with hot tub & warm outdoor shower. Outside seating overlooks the ponds with lots of waterlillies & dragonflies also the natural pool. 2 main bedrooms are spacious with ensuite showers & single room downstairs with walk-in shower. We had a wonderful stay here - the natural swimming pool is beautiful and has amazing, clean water, surrounded by water lilies, dragon flies and trees. The lodge was beautifully clean and really well equipped. The kids had a brilliant time around the grounds and we found loads to do nearby. Loved it.

Great lodge in a beautiful setting surrounded by nature and ideal for a very relaxing break. Perfect holiday with my elderly father who had the ground floor bedroom and walk in shower. The owners very friendly and helpful. The dog was allowed, we enjoyed the hot tub and even had a dip in the natural pool. Looking forward to coming again

We could not have been more comfortable and happier at Toad Lodge. The setting was beautiful and there was so much around to explore. The lodge itself was so well equipped and comfortable. Certainly a 5 star stay.
