This stunning property is positioned at the end of a private driveway and stands proudly over-looking the stunning surrounding countryside. The village of North Tawton has a selection of shops and pubs and walkers and cyclists will be in their element exploring the Tarka Trail, a former railway line and one of the country's longest continuous traffic-free walking and cycling paths . A new craft ale micro-brewery is just half a mile away and local cider farms and vineyards are both within 3 miles. The historic cathedral city of Exeter is just a short drive away and the North Devon coast with its many long sandy beaches is within an hour’s drive.  Children will be entertained at nearby Waie 2 Play activity centre or the War Horse Valley Country Farm Park

Entering the house you are immediately greeted by the light and airy entrance hall featuring stunning views and French doors opening onto the outdoor dining area and enclosed garden. To the left of the entrance hall is an extremely comfortable sitting room with large Smart TV & DVD and stone fireplace with a dual-aspect wood burner. Next door, a boot/utility room for returning outdoor activity, featuring a washing machine and tumble-dryer, sink and separate downstairs toilet. Across the hall is the thoughtfully appointed, contemporary kitchen-diner featuring bespoke wooden dining table and everything you might need to cook and entertain, including a large range with triple-oven and seven gas hobs, American style fridge-freezer, microwave, two dishwashers, large wine cooler and coffee machine. Stepping down from the kitchen you find the beautiful mosaic-tiled sunroom with seating and views over both the garden and towards the games room. Heading back through the hallway and up the wooden curved staircase to the first floor, you find four light and airy bedrooms. The master bedroom features a super-king size bed (which can be made into a twin on request at the point of booking) with en-suite shower room and the three further bedrooms feature king size beds and have access to both a bathroom and shower room. The large landing area offers seating and a quiet and peaceful place to sit and enjoy the fabulous views. Heading on up the stairs to the second floor, there are a further two bedrooms and a Jack and Jill shower room. The fifth bedroom features a super-king sized zip-and-link bed (which can be made up as a twin on request at the point of booking) and the sixth bedroom has 2 single beds and a pull out bed (which can make a double and 1 single on request at the point of booking), with smart TV .

The outside area provides seating for 12 on stylish outdoor furniture and has a charcoal BBQ, hot tub and soft outdoor lighting. Across the driveway is a separate detached building which houses a games room with table tennis, pool table and table-football and the property features ample parking.

The home is absolutely beautiful and the rooms are perfect, it's rare to find a big house where all rooms are equal and all guest equally happy and Staddon house gives just that! Communal areas also amazing. Had the best time and would love to stay there again. Can't recommend enough!

Absolutely fabulous house, ten of us spent Christmas 2025 here, great family Xmas, location. Is great and the hot tub and games room were well used by us, good communication from owner, well equipped and beds were super comfy, plenty of parking(we had four cars),would love to book again in the summer at some time.

We had a wonderful stay at Staddon House for my mums 60th birthday, the house was perfect and everything we could have wanted. Great size bedrooms, the kitchen lounge and dining area had all the amenities including a beautiful wood burner and the games room was a great addition for our children. Would highly recommend and cant wait to return!

A fantastic well-equipped house in a secluded and quiet location with wonderful views. Great fun was had by all 12 of us in the house, garden, games room & hot tub during a week of mixed weather. This is the perfect spot for some relaxation and day trips to either local attractions, the moors (wonderful walks around Castle Drogo) and even slightly Read morelonger trips to the beaches at Dawlish and Saunton Sands. A fantastic house that was an ideal setting for our golden anniversary celebrations. The rooms, utilities and the facilities were top class. The kids really enjoyed the games room and the hot tub. We had a fantastic week and found the accommodation had everything we needed. The games room and hot tub were very welcome and in use every day, We were a party of ten and found there was plenty of space for everyone and the children had a ball. we hope to be back.

Beautiful location, fantastic house and facilities. House is lovely and clean, the bedrooms are spacious and well appointed. We had an amazing stay and would whole heartedly recommend it as a place to stay. There is a Coop in a nearby village to buy any groceries needed.

This property is outstanding, there were 11 adults and not once did we feel under each other's feet. The facilities are incredible as were the views aswell as being fully equipped for all our needs

This property is as close to perfection as you will find and now our firm favourite for large family celebrations. Each room is fabulous, all have amazing views and the house is situated in a great location. The garden is a beautiful space and was secure enough to give our dogs complete freedom to roam freely.

The House is set in absolutely beautiful grounds. Fantastic layout and lovely views. Great games room. Owner was communicative and helpful. I docked one star because the hot tub was cold on arrival, and did not heat up for a whole day (it was early March!) I have to admit this was pretty disappointing, but wasnt the end of the world! Staddon House is a fabulous destination for a large group. There is enough space to find some peace and quiet whilst also allowing a large socialising area. The house is large and airy and the hot tub has amazing views. The Railway Inn served fabulous food and provided a very friendly welcome. Our second time visiting and we were not disappointed!

Fabulous cottage ( more like a mansion !) in a beautiful location. Secure garden for dogs, great games room and a beautiful, clean well equipped house. Hot tub was also spotlessly clean and a very relaxing way to end the day after wandering around Dartmoor.
