Escape and enjoy an abundance of walks or beach days at this pretty cottage adjacent the owner’s farmhouse. Set in a peaceful spot, yet close to many amenities within a short drive.

Well positioned in the village of West Buckland in Devon with easy access to nearby towns and villages, beaches and moorland. Excellent pub at nearby Swimbridge, serving home-cooked food. Landkey village is 5.8 miles away and has a pub as well as a shop with a post office. South Molton is 6.2 miles away with its twice-weekly Pannier Market, and Barnstaple is 8 miles away and offers many high street brands. The ‘little white town’ of Bideford is within 16.5 miles where you can take the Oldenburg to Lundy Island. Beach lovers will love Saunton (14 miles), Westward Ho! (17 miles), and Croyde (19 miles). Take advantage of superb walking in Exmoor National Park (9 miles).

Approaching the cottage through a five-bar gate and where you will spot the Banksy style wall art. Walk through the garden and up a few steps lead you to your front porch where you can kick off your wellies or walking boots undercover. Entering the hallway, the staircase in front of you and the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner to your right, well-furnished and equipped this room has a bright and light feel with Smart TV, feature stone fireplace with wood burner, a dining table and chairs and comfy sofa (which can be made into a pull-out double bed with linen provided on request) and feature chair beckon you to relax. The kitchen area has an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge with ice compartment. Heading up the stairs to the sleeping accommodation you will find a spacious bedroom with a super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a twin on request). The bathroom completes the accommodation and offers a bath, separate shower cubicle and WC.

Stepping outside there is dog secure and enclosed lawn area with garden furniture and charcoal BBQ.

There is allocated off-road parking for two cars and a shared (with owner who live next door) car charging point. Please note the cottage is located in the small village of West Buckland where there are many single-track lanes with passing points.

I had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous little cottage retreat !! The cottage was very comfortable and had the best super king bed I have slept in whilst on holiday . Owners/hosts were excellent in communication. A welcoming gesture of chocolate cake and bottle of wine was very appreciative. Good location central to areas of North Devon. Accommodation is spacious and comfortable. Would make a return visit.

We gad a great stay here and the host were most helpful and informative. Cottage is well located and in a very quiet area so we had a very relaxing time. Slept really well in the very comfortable bed. It is a short distance from various locations. Highly recommended.

A lovely place to stay, well situated for exploring both north and west areas of this part of Devon. The owners who live next door were friendly and helpful. The cottage is well equipped and everything was clean and fresh, and there is a nice garden to relax in. The gift of cake and wine was much appreciated.

Perfect location to relax in a rural location with access to the Tarka trail on your doorstep. The bed is extremely comfortable and the property has everything you need for your stay. Our hosts Sheena and Derek gave us a very warm welcome upon arrival and were very helpful with ideas for places to visit. Our new temporary home was clean, comfortable and inviting. This was an amazingly situated cottage for touring North Devon. Quiet, calming and peaceful after a busy day walking. The bed is awesome and so comfortable. Cosy, comfortable and clean. Home from home. Dave and Sheena were very welcoming and helpful. The little garden was great for a drink after a long day. Plenty of hot water and every utensil you might require. Recommend The Black Venus pub- superb meal. Not far to anywhere, Barnstable,Staunton Sands, Croyde, Arlington House and many more.

Beautiful cottage in a perfect location to explore all of North Devons delights. The owners were perfect hosts- welcoming and full of great advice when needed but left us to our own devices. Absolute gem of a place, Little Grubbs was the perfect place to stay.
