The area around this holiday home is somewhat of a walker's haven, with many picturesque routes right from the doorstep. Following a day of walking, take respite in the welcoming pub sitting a mere 500 yards from the house to enjoy a post-walk refresher. Travel 7 miles south to visit the village of Middleham, some to a collection of pubs, eateries and shops alongside its famous castle. Just 8 miles away sits Leyburn, home to the Forbidden Corner, Bolton Castle and the wonderful Harmby Waterfall.

Step inside to find a house that oozes charm appeal with its period properties, elegant furniture and welcoming touches throughout. The ground floor is home to the lounge, kitchen/dining area and a cosy little snug. At the heart of the spacious lounge is a roaring wood burner within a feature fireplace. With exposed beams, original wood shutters and comfortable seating, this room is a lovely little retreat. In addition to the lounge, there is a separate snug complete with TV, wood burner and DVD player. The traditional farmhouse kitchen is a bright and airy space offering everything you'll need and more. Rustle up some hearty homecooked food before enjoying family meals at the oak dining table. You'll find all three bedrooms on the first floor, each boasting access to its own private bathroom. The master is home to a super king-size bed and en-suite shower room. The second and third bedrooms are home to super king-size beds with en-suite bathrooms, both with a feature bath to sink into of an evening.

Outside is equally as impressive as inside with the extensive grounds boasting a huge enclosed garden, perfect for summer picnics and making the most of the great outdoors. This is our 2nd time this year to rent this cottage. We love it so much! The beautiful remote location and the cottage are perfect! We love being able to do walks right from the door! Also, enjoyed watching so many pheasants, partridge, deer, and rabbits from the windows and having breakfast in the little kitchen garden. The nearby little communityRead more owned pub, Foresters Arms in Carlton, is lovely. We have no complaints and hope to be able to rent this cottage again in the future! Hide

Beautiful place. Relaxed & comfortable stay. The Hall is very well equipped & spotlessly clean. Lots to do & see locally. Great place for families or a group of friends. Definitely recommend.
