A really lovely relaxing cottage, it interesting watching the guys working on the field growing sedum mats for roofs. The Star pub is 5 min walk up the lane, food and service are excellent, plus is dog friendly.

Lovely relaxing stay, great for exploring the north Cotswolds! The place itself was clean and well looked after, with everything we needed. The stairs inside are very steep (as mentioned in the description) but overall it was a very comfortable stay. It is situated right on the outskirts of the village, on the edge of a working sedum farm, with a nRead moreice view up Bredon hill. Fantastic accommodation, with loads of space for the two of us. Really appreciated the 'welcome treats'. Weather was perfect (almost) all of the time, so the veranda and patio were ideal for relaxing after a days' walking around the hills.

Lovely place to stay, so different, very quirky which we liked. People complained on previous reviews about stairs, floor boards etc, we quickly got used to the stairs, floor boards made us laugh and we found the farm fascinating. It's a great village and close to the Cotswolds and many other places for exploring. Don't think it would be good for kRead moreids or the infirm but you need to read the blurb before booking. All in all a great break Hide

Great small space for a weekend away - the silence is wonderful. Completely left alone despite being on someones property. Stays very warm throughout the night thanks to the burner - pack extra wood !!!

We had an amazing week at Halfpenny Horn, it was exactly what we needed to escape. Location is beautiful and we enjoyed the welcome cakes with drinks on the balcony seating. Stairs inside are difficult for four legged friends (who can't be carried). Overall we had a lovely stay. The area is beautiful with numerous walks and cycle rides. The village is lovely, as are several others near by. The owner was very helpful and responsive. The only 3 negatives are the stairs, the VERY squeaky floorboards and the sedum farm. This is worked on all day and they use 2 quad bike to get around. We were wokeRead moren each day around 7.30 by these. I wouldn't class this break as peaceful unless you go out or until around 5 each afternoon, when they finished. Hide
