Enter the grounds of Fort Redoubt over the bridge which crosses the moat next to where the caponier apartments are situated. Access to the caponiers is from the forts central parade square and via a door which opens up into a striking tunnel with stairs. At the base of the stairs is where the lower apartment is located, enter through the front door into the characterful hallway. Through the double doors to your right you will come into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. There is a TV and warming gas stove to curl up in front of in the lounge and a fully equipped kitchen with electric oven and induction hob, microwave, lakeland coffee machine, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher with a dining table and seating large enough to seat the whole group.
