Located close to the historic village of Kilmacolm and picture post card village of Lochwinnoch.   Duchal Lodge offers the best of both worlds situated overlooked by only the Highland cows and sheep, wake up to the beautiful rolling countryside yet you are just 15 minutes drive to Braehead Shopping centre which also offers the addition of some fantastic leisure facilities to occupy your whole party on a wet day.  The vibrant city of Glasgow with its fantastic museums, art galleries and SECC which hosts some great events and concerts is just a short drive away. Visit the Beautiful Castle Semple is a great day out, where you can participate in an array of water sports and The Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park ideal for walkers, cyclists and mountain bikers. Enjoy trip to the splendid Loch Lomond & the Trossachs national Park, or take a ferry trip and visit the Islands of Arran, great Cumbrae and Bute. The renowned golf courses of Turnberry and the royal Troon are close at hand and fishermen will be delighted with the nearby river Clyde, for salmon and trout fishing.  The lodge is situated on farmland which you are free to explore and enjoy, watch the lambs in springtime or the amazing Highland cattle roaming the land, you can also walk or mountain bike straight from the lodge to Lochwinnoch. 

Entering the single storey stylish lodge, into the hall through to the spacious open-plan light and bright lounge/kitchen/diner. The comfortable lounge has a large TV, lovely feature fire place and floor to ceiling windows enjoying beautiful countryside views. Dining area has a large dining table perfect for romantic or family gatherings, also with floor to ceiling windows to enjoy the beautiful views and French doors leading out to the garden. The kitchen is well-equipped and perfect for cooking up a storm with electric oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave a handy dishwasher and washing machine. Leading back through the hallway you are met with the delightful twin bedroom with TV,  the stylish bathroom with free standing bath and WC is located opposite the twin bedroom. Finally the beautiful master bedroom with super-king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be made into a twin on request), TV, dressing room and stylish en-suite shower and WC.

Venturing outside to the large enclosed patio area, you will find the wonderful spacious fully housed, luxury private, hot tub and the comfortable seating area with table and chairs, perfect for alfresco dining and lazy evening star gazing. There is ample private off-road parking, to the rear of the property.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Duchal lodge is a real gem, situated in the heart of the Scottish countryside with 360 picturesque views. The lodge is very well equipped and has been created with comfort in mind. It is a lovely property, we didn't want to leave. We and our dog loved this cabin. The home baked treats and the friendly warm welcome instantly set the tone for the whole stay. Everything was very comfortable, with a lovely large enclosed patio to sit and while away the day and enjoy the peace and quiet with the odd animal noise to break into the Read moretranquility of the environment. Had the most wonderful break at Duchal Lodge. Peaceful and very tranquil with an amazing hot tub under cover which was a great retreat at the end of each day. Duchel Cottage is in a fabulous and very quiet location, perfect for that get away break. Just five miles from Kilmacolm and Bridge of Weir. Myself and my wife have stayed at quite a few lodges with hottubs and this was hands down the best we have stayed at. We took our 2 boys with us on the Fri night and they loved it and were always wanting in the hottub. The location is so peaceful and Margaret & James respect your privacy and they were lovely to talk to whenever they popped along. Great cottage 5 star rating from me , and the owners were great as well. There was a Wecolme hamper with wine , cheese , biscuits and bacon in the fridge which was a nice touch. Myself and my wife and our 2 dogs will be back again.

Duchal lodge was in perfect secluded location. The lodge was spotlessly clean and had all we required. The hot tub was fantastic and so relaxing. Margaret was the perfect hostess and home baking and fizz a lovely touch on arrival. Margaret was helpful and lovely but also respected our privacy. Would definitely recommend this lodge.
