Visit the National Trust’s Penrhyn Castle (18 miles) and Aberglaslyn (12 miles), Criccieth Castle (11 miles) and Portmeirion Italianate Village (16 miles). Take a ride on a Welsh Highland Railway from Caernarfon (8 miles) or up the Snowdon Mountain Railway at Llanberis (13 miles) and walk down from Snowdon’s summit. If you have any energy or time left, try exploring the Wales Coastal Path and Snowdonia National Park.
