A traditional stone-built cottage set in the picturesque village of Fritchley is perfect for couples or families looking to enjoy the outdoors and explore this beautiful countryside.

Situated in the beautiful Derbyshire Countryside, this cottage is the perfect spot for exploring the Peak District. There is something for all including Matlock and Hartington, Gulliver’s Kingdom, and the Heights of Abraham for the adventurous. For a more relaxing time, just a little further away is the lovely town of Bakewell and the stunning Chatsworth House and Carsington Water with many great walks and picnic spots. Tempting though it might be to spend your whole break here soaking it all in, there’s a huge choice of things to do to suit all ages and tastes and the village of Crich and has an array of traditional pubs, shops, market square, and a fascinating Tramway Village.

As soon as you arrive you will instantly feel relaxed and at home. The lounge is the hub of the house and you will easily unwind in front of the fire after a day of exploring. There are two, two-seater sofas’ in front of the wood burner effect electric fire and Smart TV, what more could you want for an evening in. The owners have thought of everything with handy gateleg tables and chairs for all those chilled mealtimes. Head on through to the well-equipped kitchen which caters to all your cooking needs with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. At the rear is the shower room with a rainforest shower and WC and underfloor heating. Onto the first floor where we have the master bedroom with a king-size bed and Smart TV, ideal for a late morning in bed or early night. The separate WC joins with both bedrooms with a Jack and Jill style with classy Bi-fold doors. Finally, we have a twin room with two single beds.

There are enclosed gardens to the front and rear and numerous dog walks from right outside the door. There is a summerhouse in the rear garden, outdoor furniture and seating areas in both gardens, and a BBQ. There is unrestricted parking near and around the property.

We stayed in Clematis Cottage in April and cannot praise it enough. We had no problem in parking our car not far away from the cottage and also we were able to bring it up to the cottage to unload and load our baggage. The owners have provided a cosy, very comfortable, extremely well designed home. We seriously could find no fault, it was equipped Read morewith all you might need. A very well equipped cottage with everything needed for a relaxing break. The welcome pack was very nice and there are lots of extras. The cottage has been renovated and furnished to a high standard making it a warm and comfortable place to return to after days out.

Clematis Cottage is one of the best properties we have stayed in. It had everything you could wish for. Annette, the owner, popped in to see us on Monday evening such a friendly nice lady. She had provided us with a bottle of wine, bread, milk, butter and even cereal if you had forgotten to bring some. I cannot recommend this cottage more highly. The cottage is in a lovely quiet location. It has been finished to a high spec and was exceptionally clean and well equipped for our holiday stay. This cottage was impeccable and attention to detail second to none. A welcome pack was gratefully received, some essentials were available to us and they even had a goody bag for outbreak little dogs.

We would highly recommend Clematis Cottage for a peaceful home-from-home and ideal base to explore the beautiful countryside and it's interesting industrial heritage- but also to just relax in the Cottage and garden. Annette has thoughtfully provided everything anyone could possibly need or want! We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

We had a lovely stay at Clematis Cottage which was beautifully presented with thought given to seemingly everything that guests might need. The owner was both helpful, welcoming and non-intrusive. We would certainly recommend this to friends and would happily re-book for another visit.

We had a lovely stay at this cottage. It's kitted out with everything we needed (4 adults + 1 pup) and it's beautifully presented in a really nice location. The owner Annette was also really kind and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely fabulous cottage, very clean, everything in the kitchen and bathroom you needed and more. Even our four legged friend was catered for which is very thoughtful. Lovely peaceful location. The cottage is lovely and modern but with that cosy feel. The garden was lovely to sit in and enjoy the sun. Took my Mum and Sister and my little Pug. Fantastic quiet location, great for dog walks. The cottage had absolutely everything and more than youd expect. We were all catered for, even the dog. Well presented cottage.adequte for 4 people. Comfortable and very clean. Owners had put in little extras such as chocolates, a stocked cupboard with foods that you would replace if used.
