There’s great walking nearby, direct from the front door without the need for a car or head to Coed Y Felin nature reserve, or climb nearby Moel Famau, the highest hill in the Clwydian Range or further afield is Snowdonia with its mountain railway. Northeast is the beautiful walled city of Chester with its medieval walls, specialist shops, tempting restaurants and world-famous Zoo. The beautiful Wales coastline is within easy reach, 18 miles north, with its sandy beaches and seaside activities. We stayed here last week and received a warm & wonderful welcome from the owners Glyn and Jan, together with their 2 beautiful dogs. This is the perfect place for a nice peaceful break. The owners were lovely and welcoming, along with the dogs, chickens and even the 2 pigs welcomed us. Beautiful home with everything you could want. The pictures do not do it justice. Such a fantastic place to stay. Thoroughly recommend and will definitely go back.

This place is a little gem. The location was perfect, views amazing. The house had everything you could need and lots of extras that are not normally provided. It was spotless. This is an exceptional place to stay and the photos dont do it justice. The view from the patio and lounge are stunning and the property has everything you need. A truly wonderful place to stay with stunning views across open countryside. Amazing and friendly hosts with two beautiful dogs! Nothing to improve. Beautiful lodge, beautiful location. Wish i could live there. Hosts are wonderful and they have the sweetest dogs. Nothing tops the view from the living room.

This cottage is gorgeous with everytcouldhing you ask for. The view is fantastic from every window. The hosts are a lovely couple who are so friendly and helpful. The owners are lovely and very welcoming! They had provided some basics for the kitchen (eggs, bread, milk etc) which we thought was really kind. The cottage was very clean and the kitchen had everything you could need for cooking. The hot tub was lovely in the evenings to relax in. We spent the week 18th- 25th March 2022 at the cottage. We had an amazing stay with glorious weather. The cottage is a home from home and has all you need for an enjoyable stay. The hosts Jan and Bryn were so nice and helpful. The cottage has a stunning views and visiting woodpecker which made our visit. We totally recommend.

Brynhyfryd Retreat - our new favourite place. A home from home with the loveliest personal touches, most amazing views and warmest, most welcoming hosts. The most kind, generous and helpful hosts, the property is finished to the highest standard, with a log burner which is perfect for cuddling up in front of and taking in the stunning views of the Clwydian Range! Lovely, spacious accommodation with panoramic views of the countryside. Enjoyed the peace and tranquillity, and this is an ideal spot for country lovers. Plenty of beauty spots nearby to visit including the northern coast. We received great hospitality from our hosts who were always on hand to help. We would certainly go again.
