A beautifully restored single storey red brick barn set within the grounds of a listed manor house, with views across to the Long Mynd creating the perfect back drop for couples to enjoy whatever the occasion or time of year.

The peaceful hamlet of Abcott is well placed to all that come to stay and explore what the Southern Shropshire countryside has to offer, for enthusiastic walkers you will find simple access to the Shropshire Way, Herefordshire Way and Offa’s Dyke. Along with some of the best mountain biking trails available for keen cyclists. For foodies and historians you will not be disappointed with a wealth of towns and farmers markets to enjoy to include; Montgomery, Bishops Castle, Ludlow and Leominster well known for their all year round festivals, farmers markets and walking and food festivals. You can also enjoy the numerous nearby attractions, including Powis Castle, the Severn Valley Railway Stokesay Castle.

Take in the views across the orchard of mature fruit trees before stepping into this beautifully finished barn. A spacious lounge/kitchen/diner offers a warm welcome, with vaulted ceilings show casing exposed beams and brick work that compliment the contemporary colours and furnishings that the owner has carefully chosen. The lounge area is the perfect place to relax, light the wood burner on a chilly evening, curl up with a book or enjoy a good film on the TV. For a simple supper there is a breakfast bar that's just perfect for two. The kitchen is open to the lounge and well-equipped, great for a simple supper with an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher and washing machine. And when the day is done take a few steps up where you will find a king-size bedroom with views onto the gardens, there is also a shower room with shower and WC on the ground floor.

The French doors open onto the garden with table and chairs, the perfect place to enjoy afternoon tea. There is allocated parking for two cars.

UPON ARRIVAL: The cottage is yours from 4pm, but if you arrive early there is a pub and shop only three miles away where you can stock up on supplies and get to know the locals.

SLEEPS 2: The bedroom is light and airy and boasts a king-size bed with fresh linen. You can admire the view from the comfort of your bed through the lovely French doors.

KEEPING CLEAN: There is rain forest shower, vintage-style WC, hand-basin, dishwasher and washing machine. Towels are provided.

A delightful cottage and an ideal location for a countryside outdoor holiday. Smart, clean, quiet. warm and spacious. Relatively remote but some high quality pub/restaurants within about 20 minutes drive. Great for walks on Offa's Dyke and Long Mynd.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at this property and the owners couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. We had a welcome pack - tea, local coffee, local butter, Welsh cakes, local bread. The location is quite remote but we like that and there a walks from the property. There is a very good supermarket (Tuffins) in Craven Arms about 4/5 miRead moreles away. No pub within reasonable walking distance. Fantastic views from the property and free cooking apples when in season! Hide

Absolutely excellent all round. Bramley Cottage had everything in it we could possibly need. There was lots to do round and about with lots of lovely places to eat too.

Bramley Barn was excellent. Hard to criticize at all. Mattress a bit hard and light switches confusing. Very high standard of equipment and cleanliness.

The owners really made an effort to make the cottage very COVID secure which we appreciated. It was still a lovely warm and cosy cottage, with a welcome pack too from the owners which was a nice touch. It had all the mod cons and equipment you would need to make your stay a wonderful one. If you like being away from it all and surrounded by green countryside this is the place for you. You can sit in bed and look at the lovely view and listen to the birds singing. We did a lovely walk from the house but aside from if you dont mind driving there is plenty of walking within 39 minutes drive. We ate in every night so cant comment on theRead more local pubs but there is a good village shop selling essentials and an excellent cafe in nearby Clun. We will definitely go back. Hide

Quiet rural location on the door step of great walking and interesting , diverse towns. The cottage is very well equipped - even with Covid secure regulations- the doors of both the bedroom and the seating area open directly on the the garden and a rural view. Great to watch the local rabbits and birds. Relaxing and peaceful with the mod cons
