Enjoying a peaceful location within the countryside, this spacious apartment with open-plan living space is simply perfect for small families and couples wanting to enjoy the Wye Valley and Brecon Beacons.

Set within the open countryside, you are well placed for the picturesque Wye Valley and Brecon Beacons National Park. You can set off straight from the property on foot, with well-waymarked walks available from your front door including the Usk Valley Walk which you can pick up at the local pub, which is just a short walk away. Foodies will find plenty of fantastic eateries nearby and for local produce, a well-stocked farm shop at Craft Renaissance just across the road. Visit the traditional market towns of Usk (3.5 miles), Abergavenny (8 miles) and Monmouth (16 miles) which offer a variety of shops, cafes, restaurants, and weekly farmers' markets where you can sample the local produce. There are many historic sites, caves, castles, ancient monuments, museums, and festivals to explore, including Tredegar House, Tintern Abbey, The Big Pit, Raglan and Chepstow Castle (all within 20 miles).

Enjoy the views towards the hillsides and park your boots within the rack under the oak framed covered porchway before you step inside. The accommodation is open plan and perfect for small families and couples wanting to enjoy the countryside. The space has been beautifully finished with a contemporary twist. A lounge area with large sofas adorned with scatter cushions, soft throws and further enhanced with soft lighting is a comfortable spot to relax and enjoy a movie on the Smart TV. There’s an area for dining with a table and chairs set for four, along with a breakfast bar for a quick breakfast or a glass of wine whilst keeping the chef amongst you company. The kitchen has been well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and coffee machine. A hallway offers access to the bedrooms, both finished with soft linen and throws. The first is a spacious super-king-size zip-and-link (that can be made into 3ft twin beds on request when booking), with TV and en-suite shower room with a shower and WC. There is also a spacious king-size bedroom and a shower room with a shower and WC. A utility cupboard offers access to a washer/dryer.

You are welcome to enjoy the patio area to the front of the apartment with a table and chairs. There is allocated off road parking for two cars, along with additional spaces if required.

This was our first self catering holiday as a family and staying at No4 Alice Springs has set the bar high. Great facilities, a very thoughtful welcome hamper and extras such as board games. A lot of thought had gone into the presentation and content of the lodge. A tranquil site with nice walks around the old golf course. An excellent location to Read morevisit local places of interest e.g. Skirrid and Clytha to slightly further a field to The Big Pit, The Caves and the Royal Mint. Hide

Simply Wow. The lodge was perfect. As soon as we opened the door our holiday began. Spotlessly clean, gorgeous interior and all equipment was excellent quality. The welcome hamper contained enough food to get us started so we could relax without having to pop to the shops immediately. Beautiful accommodation which is situated in a very quiet and peaceful area. We arrived to a hamper of local goodies and they had added lots of finer details around the accommodation that just made our stay all the easier and more relaxing.
