Perfect for a celebration with friends or family, this fabulous seaside bolthole is just metres from Southwold’s promenade and has all of the town’s amenities on its doorstep. The town is a quintessential coastal destination, and you’ll love its sand-and-shingle beach backed by rows of colourful beach huts, Edwardian pier with quirky slot machines, boating lake, putting green and array of shops, galleries, pubs, restaurant and cafes. Tour the Adnams Brewery and find out more about the 150-year-old local brewers, take in a film at the Electric Picture Palace – with its rising Wurlitzer organ – or, if you are feeling energetic, hire a bike to explore the coast and surrounding villages. For a change, you could catch a rowing-boat ferry across the River Blyth to Walberswick, where you will find a lovely beach and a selection of pubs, tea rooms, restaurants and boutique shops.

The first-floor apartment is reached via a carpeted staircase and is then all on one level. A high standard of furnishings and finish is evident throughout, and the atmosphere is one of calm and cosy elegance. The open-plan, timber-floored living space comprises a lounge area with comfortable seating and a gas fire, a spacious dining area and - two steps down - a handsome, Shaker-style kitchen with built-in appliances. There is also a separate reading room with a desk and chair for those times when emails just have to be answered. The gorgeous king-size room has an ornamental fireplace, metal bed frame and en-suite shower room, and the two pretty twin rooms have quality furniture and share a stylish family bathroom.

Leading from the kitchen are double doors to the small balcony, which offers a place to sit outside, breathe in the fresh sea air and admire the view of Southwold’s attractive lighthouse. There is also a shed in which you may store beach equipment and bikes.

Lovely flat, in a prime location. We couldn't have asked for a better location and with parking included it makes things so much more simpler. We will definitely be back and the family loved it.
