This charming cottage in vibrant Fowey makes a characterful base for a Cornish getaway with family and friends (including your four-legged companions). Step outside and you’ll be just 20 metres from a fantastic selection of independent shops, cosy cafes, lively pubs and excellent restaurants. This bustling sailing port on the Fowey Estuary is brilliant if you love getting out on the water or exploring on foot, with kayaking, sailing and scenic walks all close by. For beach days, head to Readymoney Cove (0.5 miles), switching to Menabilly, Polkerris or Par when you fancy a change of scene (all within 4 miles). For a fun day out, hop on the foot ferry across the river to Polruan (4 miles) or take the ferry upstream to Bodinnick (1 mile). Further afield, the historic town of Bodmin (12 miles) will attract history lovers for its old prison, now a popular tourist attraction.

You’ll enter the cosy lounge, complete with a feature fireplace and a Smart TV – lovely for unwinding when you’re tired after a busy day out exploring. From here, move through to the spacious kitchen and dining area, where you can cook up tasty dinners in the kitchen, then gather around the table to eat. This bright space opens directly onto the outdoor deck, creating an easy flow between indoors and out. Also on the ground floor is a convenient shower room, along with a separate WC. Upstairs are two comfortable bedrooms – a double and a twin. There’s also a daybed on the landing, so one more guest can join you.

Outside, the large decked area is a fantastic place to relax. It’s bathed in sunshine throughout the day, and furnished with a dining table and chairs, so you can enjoy leisurely breakfasts to evening drinks. While there’s no on-site parking, you’re welcome to briefly pull in just beyond the front door to unload before heading to the main car park (0.5 miles).
