Rest and relax in this gorgeous barn conversion, set within grounds that include the owner's own gallery and one other property. This is an ideal choice for couples or solo travellers seeking a tranquil escape to the beautiful Herefordshire countryside. The village of Whitchurch offers an ideal starting point for exploring the picturesque scenery of the Wye Valley and Monmouthshire. You’ll discover opportunities for walking, cycling, fishing, and canoeing, making this an ideal year-round destination. Historic castles abound, with Goodrich Castle (2 miles) and majestic Raglan and Skenfrith castles within 15 miles. The region is a haven for walkers, with riverside walks at Ross-on-Wye, trails through ancient woodland in the Forest of Dean, and, for something more challenging, Mallards Pike, all within 15 miles. Alternatively, head to the market town of Monmouth to visit The Kymin and savour the local food and drink.

This characterful barn enjoys a private setting to the rear of the main house and is reached by gentle steps up a winding path through a gated garden. Step into a small lobby where you can leave your boots and coats, then move through the door to your right into the main interior. Please note that there are steps up into every room from the hallway. As you step into the open-plan living space, your eye will be drawn to the superb high-vaulted ceiling and exposed wood beams, which create a charming setting for your stay. With plenty of creature comforts also available, you are sure to enjoy a memorable stay. At one end of the living space is the seating area where you can sink into the comfortable sofas and chairs and enjoy a lazy afternoon tea while reliving your day’s activities. In the evening, you can relax by watching TV. French doors from the sitting area lead out to the patio, ideal for letting the outside in on warm summer days. Cook up a storm in the contemporary kitchen, which has all the appliances you need for preparing a delicious brunch or romantic dinner, and eat together at the wooden table. Sleep soundly in a lovely, spacious double bedroom with plenty of storage, and wake up to the pretty garden views. Also off the entrance hall is the delightful bathroom, which features a shower over the bath and WC.

Step outside to enjoy the endless peace and quiet of the countryside in your private enclosed garden with outside furniture, the perfect spot for a morning coffee or afternoon tea or a summer BBQ. Private, off road, parking for one car is available in front of the main house.
