Stay at this lovely lodge in an elevated position with far-reaching views, perfect for friends or families seeking a restful rural retreat from which to explore the surrounding Welsh countryside and attractions. One of four properties on the site, you are perfectly located to discover the nearby town of Newton, a charming and historic market town, where you can relax at one of the many cafes, browse independent shops or explore the Newtown Textile Museum. For a more active experience, lace up your boots and explore some of the walking trails from the doorstep or head 20 miles to the Devil’s Chair and Stiperstone’s National Nature Reserve, full of wildlife and sweeping views. One must-visit attraction in the area is the magnificent Powis Castle and Garden, less than 13 miles away. Spend a day exploring this marvellous medieval castle and wander through the splendid Grade II-listed gardens.

This superb single level property is full of countryside charm, effortlessly woven with contemporary comforts for a superior and unforgettable stay. Admire the majestic views of the countryside as you exit the car and walk up to the lodge entrance. Stepping inside, the property opens into a spacious open-plan living area. With natural light pouring in from the windows and featuring French doors, this space is the heart of the home and ideal for relaxed socialising. When it is time to eat, cook up a storm in the kitchen which has all the necessary appliances, making meal preparation a breeze. The dining area is set back behind the seating area, and thoughtful surrounding decor invites you to linger over meals and plan for the next day’s activities. After a hearty dinner, head over and unwind in the comfortable seating, which is positioned so you can look out over the rolling countryside. This is a lovely space for chatting over an afternoon tea. In the cooler months, pop a log on the wood burner, settle in and find your favourite film to watch together on the Smart TV. At the end of a day of adventure, there is a choice of two double bedrooms in which to drift off to sleep. One of the bedrooms is an en-suite featuring a freestanding bath and a rainfall shower, and there is a second sleek shower room for your convenience. Both bedrooms have plenty of storage space and doors that open out onto the decking area.

Outside, you can relax on the decking at the table and chairs, sip a cool drink, and admire the views of the valley. The decking features a glass balustrade. In the evenings, unwind in the hot tub and watch the sun set. In front of the lodge is a large field with spring wildflowers and seasonal livestock, or explore the ancient woodland, and take a stroll through the grounds. Private parking for two cars is available in the gravel car park, and space for bicycles is available by the lodge.
