Located in pretty Beguildy with pub and shop, close to medieval Clun, the historic market towns of Knighton and Ludlow, spa town Llandrindod Wells and Newtown on the banks of the River Severn. All offer an array of activities, eateries’, independent shops, museums and galleries. Roam the 43 acre grounds designated as a Local Wildlife Site by Shropshire Wildlife Trust, join Glyndwr’s Way National Trail or Offa’s Dyke or choose one of the many footpaths, cycle routes and bridle ways through the majestic Welsh and rolling Shropshire Hills. Explore the Observatory Spaceguard Centre, The Judges Lodging and National Trust Powis Castle and Gardens to name but a few of the attractions. Perfect for a relaxing stay. The cottage is one of two adjacent cottages, that if booked together could provide accommodation for 4 people. The cottages are found at the top of a private drive, where there is no passing people or traffic, just sheep and wildlife. Children and dogs are allowed to roam freely and safely in the separate acre of fenced in garden. Guests and their dogs are free to wander around the 43 acres of grounds. There are many walks directly from the property, without having to drive anywhere. There is total peace and solitude, with fresh mountain air and pure spring water on tap.

The property has been lovingly refurbished, in 2017 and has flagstone floors and exposed beams greet you as you enter this charming property. The spacious and creative open-plan lounge/diner has a fabulous inglenook fireplace and wood burner taking centre stage. Relax on the comfy sofas watch your favourite TV programme or a film on the Smart TV, listen to music and lose yourself in a good book or just embrace the wonderful view of rolling countryside. The dining table is well placed to enjoy a meal and discuss your plans for tomorrow. If you decide to eat in, the superb kitchen caters for all your needs with electric cooker, fridge, microwave oven, alongside thoughtful little extras creating a delightful space to prepare a meal. Upstairs you can truly relax in the lovely bathroom with shower over bath and WC before retiring to the welcoming super-king-size bedroom with freshly laundered linen and fluffy towels. For lazy mornings or early nights you can settle down in front of the newly added Smart TV within the bedroom.

Outside there is a private, fenced garden.  Enjoy alfresco dining on the patio with furniture and BBQ or take a picnic on the lawn. Make the most of the stunning views from the private hot tub or explore the 43 acres of grounds. Shared laundry in the Pump House with washing machine and tumble dryer. Excellent location, it was so quiet and peaceful, the views from the cottage were stunning. The sofa and bed were extremely comfortable and the log fire made it even more cosy. The cottage is in a lovely location and very well equipped,. Great play area for our dogs and fully enclosed. Fantastic views from the garden and hot tub over the valley.. The owners could not have been more helpful and willing to ensure we had a pleasant and comfortable sty.

Lovely cottage and a great location. The perfect place for a remote and relaxing break with our 2 labradors. Such a pleasure to visit a truly dog friendly cottage and garden. The secure exercise paddock was perfect too! Views across the rolling hills were amazing (especially when relaxing in the hot tub!). It was a beautiful drive to Tack cottage and easy to find, was greeted by Julia who was very helpful and helped us get settled in. Tack Cottage is a beatiful hidden gem. It's compact but feels like home the minute you step inside. It's full of colour and comfort - so much better than staying somewhere which is like the inside of a bland hotel room. Lovely time at Tack cottage. Perfect for us and our two dogs. Cooking in the kitchen is a challenge (it is very compact) but we managed to put two nice meals on the table! Beautiful views. Our Tesco delivery arrived! I'm amazed they deliver here. We will definitely return. Thank you.

This was our 3rd visit in 4 years. We love the peace and quiet and it's extremely doggy friendly. The hot tub is a real bonus and if you are looking to get away from the 'rat run' and light pollution of inner cities then Tack Barn is the place to go. We had an amazing time at the cottage. We stayed a week and loved every day. Its super quiet and perfect relaxing escape. The hot tub was lovely, views amazing and lots of lovely walks. Local pub did really good food. Wifi was brilliant. There is only a 3ft fence between the properties so we kept our dog on lead in the garden (our Rottie puppy woulRead mored easily jump it), but the paddock was a massive hit with the dog able to run free safely. Our 4 night stay at tack cottage was so cosy and relaxing scenery was beautiful we were greeted by Julia with a bottle of Prosecco and a bottle of fresh milk on arrival tea and coffee in the cottage supplied our 3 Pomeranian dogs enjoyed the freedom to run around in the secured garden or the secured paddock in the grounds The hot tub and barbecue wRead moreas great also a washing machine on site to use Dave the owner very friendly took time to chat 24hr contact if any problems will visit again we loved it Hide

What a little gem of a place to stay. The views are spectacular and we sat in the hot tub each evening overlooking perfection. We loved the quaint cottage that was very clean and had everything we needed. Our 2 dogs could go in the fenced off garden and to a nearby field when they could go off lead. There is a pub serving great food, about a mile aRead moreway which we walked too. Last but not least, we found the owners Dave and Jenny and the manager Julia very nice and nothing was too much trouble. Hide

We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage which is set in a truly peaceful rural setting and run by truly dedicated owners. In advance of our arrival we were sent all the information we needed from Julia, who looks after the cottage and the adjoining property. What can I say, absolutely stunning, everything you need under 1 roof, they have thought of everything. Dave and Jenny so lovely and Julia too. They have Games, books, hairdryer, washing machine, iron. We took our 3 large dogs, so covered the sofa with throws and managed to wash them. The views are breathtaking. Would definitely go again.
