The proprty was easy to find, my sat nav took me straight there. Amanda met me at the gate and kindly helped me to carry my luggage. The hut was warm and inviting and knowing I was on my own Amanda had left a couple of welcome gifts. I was looking for some peace and quiet and the hut was perfect. Lovely surroundings, friendly host and Alpacas. Decorated the hut for special birthday making it that bit more welcoming. Would love to return in the future. Hot tub was used each day regarless of the drizzle one evening. Local pub was friendly and food good. Location was close to local towns / places of interest. Stayed here for our 20 year anniversary. Amanda was an amazing host. Always on hand if required. Amanda left us a welcome bottle of prosecco and some marshmallows to toast in the lovely BBQ hut. Amanda also surprised us with another bottle of prosecco on our anniversary day. Parking is available for one car on driveway. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay Amanda was very welcoming and supportive and nothing was to much trouble - we loved the peace and quiet and the hut met all our expectations and more - it was great to meet Barrington and Clarence who were very friendly and great guard alpacas ! Hope to be back soon

Me and my partner spent 3 nights Friday to Monday morning at this picturesque hide away. It was the most lovely peaceful break which was much needed. From the alpacas as company to the peace and tranquility it was the perfect break. Amanda was on hand with all queries we had and was the most welcoming host. Very much recommended from us. Loved it

From the moment we arrived we knew we would have a wonderful stay here. Amanda was an absolute gem, literally attending to our every need. She even put on a little doo on for us in the amazing pizza hut on New Years Eve with little nibbles and Prosecco. Everything about the shepherds hut was fantastic. We were looking for something quirky, away from it all and relaxing between Christmas and New Year and Alpaca Retreat hot the spot. The owner Amanda was on hand if needed and quickly sorted the change of filter on the hot tub. We enjoyed a lovely, cosy Christmas in Amanda's beautiful shepherds hut. Amanda was kind and thoughtful, leaving us little Christmas gifts and some carrots to feed the alpacas. She was always on hand if we needed anything, but didn't invade our space. The shepherds hut was so homely and comfortable, with lots of hidden storage. Our stay at the alpaca retreat was amazing and a great experience. Very peaceful and all the amenities you needed were provided. The local villages were lovely and it is a great place to base yourself from to visit the surrounding area. What a wonderful place! Peaceful & private & the hut really has everything you need. The outdoor space is brilliant- large decking, BBQ & hot tub. Definitely spend a night in the hot tub stargazing! What a lovely place to spend some unplugged time away at. Amanda, the host, is lovely. And the Shepherds Hut shows you how little space you need. We were joined by the Alpacas for breakfast each morning, for their muesli. It's a very peaceful place, and definitely somewhere we'd come back to.

We really enjoyed our long weekend at the Alpaca retreat. Amanda was really welcoming and was always ready to help out with anything we needed. The gardens were very tranquil and relaxing. The beautiful rose garden was a bonus. The Alpacas were very sweet. Overall lovely break with lots of rest and relaxation.

Perfect shepherd's hut, lovely Alpacas, but location problem, for me, as next to a Labrador breeding kennels, barking and howling at feeding times, situated at the back of the Shepherds hut.

Really cosy and lovely hut! Shame that it was wet and muddy (perks of going in the winter) however will definitely come back spring or summer so can use all the facilities. The Alpacas obviously were the highlight every morning.

Fantastic stay here! The host couldn't have been any more helpful. Super cosy, super clean, everything you could need for a little getaway! The scenery at nighttime is beautiful & quiet. Sitting in the hot tub and watching the sunset was just lovely! Will definitely be back!!

The location is a delight. The host is very accomodating and helpful. The cottage is on the small side but ever so cozy and well equipped. The hot tub was wonderful even when -4c outside, and the Alpaca's make for great companions to your early morning coffee.
