The wonderful village of Burgh St Peter where this retreat is set is located in the Norfolk Broads. There is an award-winning local pub that serves good food and welcomes families and dogs. In the nearby village of Wheatacre is a charming farm shop. Nature lovers can take the foot ferry from the nearby Waveney River centre (0.5 miles) over to the Suffolk Wildlife Trusts Carlton Marshes Nature Reserve, with bird-watching hides and a visitor centre with a cafe. Also at the Waveney River Centre, you can rent a day boat on the River Waveney and enjoy river access, while those seeking more activity can try the Beccles Marsh Trail (7 miles). Within 23 miles, you'll find popular seaside towns like Lowestoft, Southwold, and Aldeburgh, or for something different, visit the cathedral city of Norwich (20.5 miles).

Loved our stay. Accommodation and surroundings were perfect. We were made to feel very welcome. It was a lovely relaxing week. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden. The location is perfect for walking and visiting the many beautiful beaches nearby.

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful cottage. It was very clean, comfortable and cosy. The welcome gifts were an added bonus. The cottage is situated on a beautiful farm surrounded by countryside, ideal for plenty of walks, especially with our dog. Nicola and Dave were very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend a stay here.

The cottage was very clean and a fantastic size bed and kitchen was well equiped and a invigarating shower. The enclosed garden was spot on for our 2 dogs to run around in whilst we sat and had our morning Also the own. There was also a good walk within the fram yard to let dogs have a run in before going out for the day, to South would, Lowesoft aRead morend Great Yarmouth. Lovely cosy cottage in a quiet, rural location. Very clean, well-equipped and comfortable and an enclosed garden that our two dogs loved. Close to Beccles (by car) and further afield to the coast , so lots do do and see in the area. Some nice walks locally too.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely quiet area. Farmyard sounds ease you into your day. Lovely special touches, milk, bottle of fizz, chocolate biscuits and fresh flowers on the window sill. Great base to explore Southwold, Aldeburgh, Dunwich. Our dogs enjoyed the safe, secure garden and the under floor heating. We will return!

Really clean, tidy cottage in a beautiful and peaceful location. We found it a welcome break from town life being surrounded by cows and fields. We loved the resident collie herding our car safely to the cottage and our dogs enjoyed the secure garden and all the sights and sounds on the farm. Relaxing, warm , remote lovey cottage really enjoyed getting out and about to the nearby Dog friendly beaches would highly recommend this stay for anyone owners where very welcoming and couldn't do enough for use to make the stay even better.
