Property code: OC-P00713

Located in the heart of Padstow is this elegant three-storey property. With plenty of space, it’s the perfect home for a family gathering or reunion of friends. From the property, it’s just 200 metres to Padstow Harbour. A working harbour, it’s a charming place to idle away the hours watching the fishing boats unload their catches of fresh fish, crab, and lobster. Dotted around the harbour are many excellent seafood restaurants and sandy beaches including the family-friendly St George’s Cove just 1 mile away. Alternatively, jump on the ferry at the harbour and enjoy the 5-minute ride across the River Camel to Rock. The village of Rock attracts a well-heeled crowd and has plenty of trendy bars and restaurants, while the long, sandy beach is a good place for a swim or spot of windsurfing.

Spread over three floors, this house has been designed with space in mind. On the ground floor, a light-filled lounge is a relaxing room with comfortable sofas, a TV and an open fire. From here, wood laminate flooring sweeps through to an extensive kitchen full of modern appliances. The kitchen opens onto the dining area, down some steps, so you can rustle up a delicious meal and then serve it at the table with seating for eight people. Alternatively, push open the glass door and enjoy an al fresco brunch on the patio. Stairs lead to the first floor where two bedrooms are located. Featuring a king-size bed and twin beds, the rooms are awash with natural light. Handy extras include a wardrobe and chest of drawers, and a family bathroom with a bath. There is also a separate shower room on this floor. From here, stairs sweep up the second floor where the remaining two bedrooms are located. The rooms are well-sized with fresh interiors and feature a double bed and twin bed.

While the indoor space is appealing, the outdoor area is equally inviting. From the ground floor, step out onto the patio and soak up the sun while surrounded by tropical plants and trees. And with the garden spread out over three levels, there’s plenty of space for everyone to do as they please. But come dinner, gather everyone around the outdoor table on the upper level for an elegant bite to eat.

We had a lovely and comfortable stay at St Piran's. The location was perfect for us being so close to where everything is happening in Padstow. Cleanliness was good and we had everything we needed. It was a very relaxing and fairly modern property to stay in with minimal noise outside considering how close to the heart of Padstow it is plus we stayRead moreed here at peak time. I would recommend St Piran's to my friends and family for sure. As mentioned in the need-to-know section, there are several internal and external steps within and outside of the property. I think it will help guests (especially families) to know that as well as the two kitchen/dining stairs, stairs to the other 2 floors and to the outdoor terraces, there is also a very small step down into the lounge (easy to forget it is there), quite a step up into both showers and a complicated stair layout as they curve up to the first floor and across to the bathroom (a potential hazard when visiting the bathroom during the night). Had we known this, we may not have booked this accommodation as we stayed here with quite a frail family member. We knew when booking that he'd be able to manage the stairs to the first floor bedroom and up to the outdoor terrace with our help, however, we had to keep an eye on him pretty much all the time as he moved from room to room. If you are tall, which 3 of our guests were including my partner's father, the low doorways are also a potential hazard. I'm not sure where the enclosed lawned garden was that is mentioned in the description. We didn't miss it though as the weather wasn't the best for our stay. Perhaps a photo of it might help? We parked in a car park about a 10 minute walk away from the accommodation which worked well for us and we were able to park temporarily outside the house to load the car and pick up the family to go out for the day. We would stay here again for sure as it is a lovely accommodation and a fab location, however, we regret we won't be able to stay again with a frail family member. Hide

This house is well located for a short walk into the centre of Padstow, the one downside is no parking close to the house. Easily sleeps 8 comfortably.

St Piran's is a lovely property! The location is ideal, but most of all the house feels like a home. It's spacious and comfortable, having the character of a cottage with the added amenities of modern life.
