Another lovely peaceful stay at Owl House. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed. However the last section of the unmade road up to the property appears to have deteriorated since our last visit, it is very uneven with ruts and large potholes. Navigable with care of course, as all the people do who live on that stretch, but for anyonRead moree unfamiliar with the property I certainly would not advise planning a first arrival after dark. Other than that a lovely stay and helpful owners. Hide

We very much enjoyed our week at Owl House. The surroundings are really special and its very peaceful. We saw the owl one night fly up into a nearby tree and it left evidence of its residence across the floor of the carport. Our stay at the Owl house was amazing. We were very lucky to have lovely weather, but we think we would have enjoyed being there whatever the weather. The cottage is very comfortable with everything you could need and it was nice to have a little welcome pack in the fridge too. From the moment we left the lane to drive up to the Owl House we could feel the relaxation just wave over us both. There isn't anything that we'd change at all. The silence other than birds is beautiful and the views - oh my goodness. The settee is extremely comfortable alongside the huge bed. The kitchen is well stocked with lots of cutlery and paRead morens (we've previously stayed in other accommodation and had four of everything - even with a dishwasher! But not here). The shower was so easy to use and a great pressure with lots of hot water. We stayed at the house for a few mornings and just appreciated the atmosphere (We even read a book each! Not something we don't often.) The wildlife is just like sitting on a set of Spring Watch - we saw so many varieties of birds including the beautiful owls. After a day out it's a perfect spot to unwind and we'd love to return at some point. Neil & Wendy the owners are so helpful and friendly. We stayed for 14 nights and we really didn't want to leave at all. Hide
