Located in the picturesque historic village of Alnmouth with its stunning sandy beach that stretches for miles, you’ll be in an excellent spot for leisurely walks, picnics and enjoying the coastal scenery. The village also boasts an excellent range of quality eateries, friendly inns, quirky shops and an array of yearly events to enjoy. Explore the Aln Estuary, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a haven for wildlife. If you are a golf enthusiast, the village golf club is a must-visit, with stunning views across the coastline and a challenging course. The bustling medieval town of Alnwick is only 5 miles away, with its excellent amenities and leisure facilities and the magnificent Alnwick Castle and Garden to explore.

This delightful former post office spans three floors with an array of quirky period features, including original wood beams and exposed stone walls. Step inside and into the light and bright spacious lounge. Relax on the comfortable sofas after a day out exploring this AONB on the North Northumberland Heritage Coast and enjoy a movie on the Smart TV with the roaring wood burner lighting up the room on those cooler evenings. Directly adjacent is another lounge with French doors that can be opened, making this a fantastic spacious double lounge, also with comfortable seating, a Smart TV and a cosy wood burner. Next is the dining room with a large period table and chairs, with ample seating for family gatherings. The well-equipped kitchen is the perfect space to cook up a storm with direct access out to the enclosed patio, followed by a utility room and a handy WC. Head through to the hall and down a flight of steps to the cellar games room with its full-sized table tennis that all the family to enjoy. On the first floor, there is a bathroom. Continue up the period staircase to the second floor, where you will find five wonderful bedrooms, a king-size with en-suite shower room, another king-size bedroom, and a king-size and a twin bedroom that share a Jack and Jill shower room. Finally, completing the fantastic accommodation is a spacious king-size bedroom with two additional single beds, a cot and an en-suite shower room.

10 of us (3 generations )spent 3 very happy days at The Old Post Office ,Alnmouth The house made the holiday, table as we felt very comfortable in it.It was well appointed, but not precious. Huge, well equipped and welcoming property with something for all ages. Everyone enjoyed th table tennis! Location is great with easy access to Northumberland attractions, we had a great holiday but for the weather - must pick a drier week next time!

We were a party of 6 adults 4 children and 2dogs. The house was excellent as were the local hostleries. Well located for coastal walks and local tourist attractions. Almouth is a picturesque village and we would recommend this property to anyone.

The Old Post Office served us very well. Three generations congregated from Gloucestershire, Leicestershire & Ireland for family holiday plus a Labrador. What a lovely spacious house with everything we could think of. The boot room was great for our February stay as lots of boots, coats & wellies.
