Discover this luxurious top-floor apartment set within the west wing of a country mansion. You’ll be located on a private 65-acre estate with views over the countryside down to the river Don. Enjoy this peaceful, rural location and explore the grounds which include ancient woodlands and pathways. The market town of Inverurie has a selection of quirky shops, quality eateries, pubs and cafes. Enjoy a trip to Aberdeen (19 miles) with its excellent attractions, shopping, and leisure facilities. Aberdeenshire is known as 'Scotland's Castle Country' and thus has many castles, stately mansions, and ruins to discover. You’ll be ideally located between the unspoilt eastern coastline and the truly magical Cairngorms National Park, both of which are within 26 miles.

From the courtyard, follow the stairs up to the second floor of the west wing. Enter the property and follow the hall through to the light and bright open-plan sumptuous living area. Relax on the comfortable sofas after a day out exploring and as the sun sets, throw a log on the wood burner and enjoy a film on the Smart TV. Cook up delicious treats for six in the well-equipped kitchen and then set the table in the spacious dining area where you can enjoy the lovely views over the countryside. This is an ideal place to enjoy a family meal and afterwards, why not have a game of chess? There a three individual, beautifully decorated bedrooms to retire to: one king-size with an en-suite bathroom with a free-standing bath and WC, and two doubles which are next to the family shower room with a walk-in shower and WC. Completing the property on the ground floor is a shared billiard room and utility room with access to a washing/drying machine.  For larger groups the property can be booked along with The Sutherland and The Gordon suite.

Head outside and discover a wealth of land to explore. Landscaped lawns, formal gardens and beautiful ancient woodland await. One of the best places weve stayed and we were sad to leave, the owners have done amazing work to restore it to this level. Thankyou to you both and we hope to be back again.

An absolutely fantastic place to holiday at. The area is wonderful, the seal beach at Newburgh exquisite and trips into historic Aberdeen very easy. We were amazed at the hosts' welcoming and their house (you stay in the West Wing) is amazing. We will easily go again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Manar house. We were in the Don View, the largest of the 3 apartments. Dean and his family were most welcoming, making out stay all the more enjoyable. It was a great base for us as we have family in the area. Would definitely visit again, either in the same suite, or in one of the two other suites, the Gordon and Read morethe Sutherland, if it was just the two of us. A lot of work has been done converting the west wing of the house into these three suites, worth a stay Hide

So much work has been put into renovating and modernising this beautiful house. The apartment is beautifully presented and incredibly comfortable; truly one of the best places we have stayed in. An hour from the Aberdeen Coast or the Cairngorms, the biggest challenge is deciding whether to go and explore or stay home and relax in luxury!
