This spacious rural retreat is located in the beautiful village of Upper Lambourn on the Berkshire/Oxfordshire border and is perfect for friends and family coming together for any occasion.

The cottage is located in Upper Lambourn, in the heart of the Valley of the Racehorse, with some 1,500 horses being trained in the valley. The town itself is a 1-mile walk along some lovely country lanes – keep an eye out for some of the racehorses being taken out for some exercise. The town has a selection of pubs, a local shop and a supermarket meaning you have everything you need close by. The traditional market town of Wantage is 7 miles away and is packed with historic buildings and an array of interesting independent shops. Oxford is just 20 miles away, with its stunning architecture, history and culture. You’ll find ancient and modern colleges, fascinating museums and galleries, parks, gardens and green spaces to relax.

As you enter the cottage through the spacious and welcoming hallway, there is a large study with a Smart TV, perfect to relax and watch a movie whilst also providing a remote workspace when required. Just off the hallway, there is a downstairs cloakroom and WC.  Moving through the property, you are greeted with a large lounge area with a large inglenook fireplace and lovely views out to the extensive gardens. There is ample seating and space for a family get-together, and the added benefit of a quirky nook with a bar to prepare drinks. There is a separate dining room to seat ten and a well-equipped kitchen with an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer and coffee machine. Just off the kitchen is a separate pantry for storing all the lovely local ingredients you have picked up throughout the day. Also within the pantry is a washing machine and dryer. Head upstairs where you will find three bedrooms. The first is the master suite with a king-size bed, Smart TV and an en-suite with a bath, shower and WC. There are two further double bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower and WC. This property boasts two further bedrooms in a separate cottage accessed through the garden which has one king-size zip-and-link bed (can be used as a twin on request) and a further room with a bunk bed. Also in the cottage is a bathroom with a shower and WC.

Take in the incredible countryside views from the large garden with a patio area equipped with comfortable seating, a charcoal Green Egg BBQ and is a great space to dine alfresco. The well-maintained garden is perfect for groups getting together and enjoying each other’s company within a lovely setting.
