Property code: 87347

Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this barn enables guests to sample peaceful country life, close to the Hartland Heritage Coast with its breathtaking rugged coastline, pebble beaches and rolling deep blue seas. Set on a six acre small holding with chickens and sheep and the beginnings of a small wood. On site, you will have the opportunity to spot an array of different birds depending on the season, including swifts, buzzards, kestrels and barn owls. Hedgehogs visit, sheep (with their lambs) graze the fields across the valley and fresh eggs can be provided by the resident rescue hens. Visit the pretty fishing villages of Appledore (7 miles) and Clovelly (8 miles), and explore the Hartland Peninsula (13 miles) which has played host to many TV and film productions. Drive to either Devon’s Westward Ho! Beach, (5 miles) or Cornwall’s popular Bude (23 miles) with endless sandy beaches to spend memorable days surfing, swimming or sunbathing.

This charming barn sits within the grounds of the owner’s farmhouse. Park and unload beside the barn and plan your adventures. Heading into the barn you will find yourself in the hall where clever boxed seating allows coats, walking boots and wellies to be kicked off and stored easily – a large picture window here adds to the light and airy feel. A spacious and contemporary shower room with a walk-in shower and WC is found just off the hall. Heading into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, you can look forward to a cosy evening around the warming wood burner (first basket of logs included), a Smart TV, comfy sofa and arm chair. The kitchen area has an electric oven and hob, built-in microwave, dishwasher, and fridge/freezer. The bedroom completes the accommodation and comprises a king-size bed and a Smart TV.

Stepping outside via the kitchen door is a small, enclosed courtyard with a patio table and chairs. Guests are welcome to wander the land however, dogs must be kept on a lead. There is allocated parking for one car. Located nearby is a utility area where there is access to a washing machine. There is an outside warmwater dog shower available at the property. On-site there is a type 2 electric car charging point which can be used by arrangement with the owner for an extra cost.
