Nestled at the foot of the Derwent Valley in Derbyshire, Matlock Bath is a unique village that lies on the south-eastern edge of the Peak District National Park. A popular tourist attraction since the 17th century, this beautiful village has earned nicknames such as ‘the seaside resort miles from the sea’ and ‘Little Switzerland’. There’s a long street of shops, cafes, and places of interest like the aquarium. Riverside walks are ideal for a shady stroll. Within an easy drive are the splendid Chatsworth House (8.5 miles), Haddon Hall (7.5 miles), and Crich Tramway Village (5.5 miles). You can also take advantage of the excellent walking routes around the Derwent Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The ground-floor apartment is accessed via a flight of external steps. Stepping into the accommodation is sure to give an impressive with spacious open-plan living. Snuggle up on the sofa with a loved one in front of the Smart TV or curl up with a good book. If the nearby restaurants can’t tempt you to eat out, the kitchen is a pleasure to cook in, offering an electric oven and hob, fridge, and washing machine. Come together around the nearby dining table and plan the days' activities ahead or enjoy a celebration meal. The bedroom offers a restful space to get a good night's sleep with a king-size bed and Smart TV for the lazy lie-ins. The en-suite shower room offers a high ceiling, enclosed shower, and WC.

There is free off-road parking nearby on a first-come-first-served basis. Other parking can be found at the nearby car park a short walk away from the property, a weekly permit is available at a cost of £24.80.

The cottage was beautiful, well equipped and was in a good location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Was dog friendly and plenty of lovely walks nearby. We would not recommend holiday cottages, however, as we requested to extend our stay for an extra night but there was a 75 admin fee to amend a booking. I wouldnt have minded a small admin fee but Read morethis is very high just to add an extra night. Having said that, The owner was incredible and would highly recommend the cottage basedon his servic Hide

Please see above. Lots of issues we weren't happy with. The TV and shower were the only good things. There are some big issues above and made it unenjoyable. Especially the fall on the step that was wobbly and broken.

If you are thinking of booking here - DO IT. The lodge is amazing. Its a really good size, high end finish, perfect location, spotless, very comfortable. Ideally located lodge within a short walk of allnthe amenities in Matlock Bath and Matlock. Serviced well by public transport to travel further afield should you wish to leave your car in the free space across the road (parking can be a real issue, especially at weekends) Overall delighted with our accommodation and wouldn't hesitate in using again

The cottage was perfect, clean modern, well equipped, everything you needed for a holiday rental. The shower was amazing. The location is quite good, but it is very close to the main A6 t road which does generate traffic noise. Parking is difficult at weekends and bank holidays when the weather is nice. Great centre for exploring the Peak District.

A superb contemporary comfortable clean apartment in a great location with lots of things to do in the area. There its no parking on site but a few spaces on the opposite side of he road and a lot of spaces at the nearby railway station. However rail and bus transport are convenient. Worth noting is there is no convenience store in Matlock Bath butRead more several in Matlock about 3 miles away. A fantastic apartment, spacious living, dining, kitchen area. Great shower, very comfortable bed, sofa. Two wide screen TVs , easy walk into Matlock Bath and Matlock, short drive to Bakewell. Only downside for us, you can't stop outside, to load, unload car,plus wanted to pay for 7 day parking at station, but could only pay daily.

Lovely accommodation, comfortable and well appointed. Road noise quite loud but didn't bother us. Parked at station with Derbyshire Dales rover ticket which meant we could park in other car parks without paying extra. Fantastic cottage with all the home comforts you could need. Comfortable bed and amazing shower. Plenty of space for a couple with a fully equipped kitchen. Lovely little space for two, nicely laid out. Clean and equiped with all you need should you want to cook rather than eating out. A comfortable space with some lovely quirky furnishings. Great location for exploring the peak district.
