Calthwaite maintains the traditions of a Cumbrian village with a local pub/restaurant serving traditional fare, real ales and roaring log burner alongside the old-style estate sandstone village. Head down to explore Glenridding and Ullswater before hopping aboard the steamboat which offers a fantastic experience of the Lake or if you prefer to hire a Kayak or canoe and head out onto the water yourself. The bustling town of Penrith is only a short drive away and has plenty of local eateries and shops to choose from.

This stunning lodge is the perfect place to getaway and enjoy luxury comforts. As soon as you enter the open-plan living space you will see the detail and expense the owners have gone to create a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. The lounge boasts a corner sofa with armchair surrounding the flame effect electric fire and Smart TV. The kitchen is stylish with all you need to cook up a feast for any meal. There is an gas oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and microwave. Head on down the hall where you will find the comfortable bedrooms with the master bedroom housing a king-size bed with wall mounted TV and plenty of storage space plus a en-suite shower room which has shower and WC. Also, off the hall is the twin room and the main shower room with shower and WC.

The decking area has been tastefully created to reflect comfort with seating area and your own private hot tub so you can enjoy those lovely evenings with a drink under the stars. Private parking for two cars.

Lovely lodge in a fantastic location. Perfect for what we needed. Ideal if you are taking a dog as the patio is completely closed off and secure. Lovely local pub too!

Beautiful lodge, very well equipped, lovely for our mini break and the hot tub was a lovely addition
