A 20 minute walk will take you to Dolton village which has 2 pub's, butchers and a shop, The Ram's Head Inn is the better of the two. Stayed at numerous cottages over the years never had a bad one , but the Old Stables was the best yet . A truly beautiful location - and the cottage itself is truly 5 star. The gardens are stunning, and we even spotted stags. Good pubs are important to us - and here we had two great and contrasting choices: food in both was excellent. Pat was so welcoming, and encouraged us to enjoy the beautiful grounds.
