Cosy cottage set in the picturesque town of Grange Over Sands with the wonders of the Lake District on your doorstep, perfect to explore the abundance of activities in the South Lakes

Grange Over Sands is a beautiful town with many amenities within walking distance. For easily accessible day trips there is the scenic south Cumbrian coastline, head up to Bowness, Windermere or Ambleside, enjoy a lazy day on a boat on Lake Windermere or explore the Beatrix Potter’s attractions nearby. Within easy reach of the beautiful village of Cartmel with is bespoke shops, quality eateries, Medieval Priory and famous racecourse with an array of yearly events to enjoy.

Upon entering this wonderful cottage, you will instantly feel at home, originally a stable this property boasts everything you need for a wonderful holiday. Off to the left of the hall is the homely dining room which is the perfect place to enjoy a meal anytime of the day and has plenty of quirky features throughout. The kitchen which has all the hall marks of a traditional Cumbrian cottage with an electric oven and cermaic hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. The lounge is the hub of the house and offers guests a relaxing and warm place to be with two sofas’ surrounding the open fire which is ideal for a night in front of the Smart TV with a movie. There is also a desk area at the back and patio doors leading out into the garden. Heading up to the first floor we have two dual aspect double bedrooms overlooking the front and back of the property both with smart TV's. Completing the property is the bathroom with a shower over bath and WC.

The garden is a joy to behold with seating out from the kitchen and a lovely gravelled area along with BBQ. The garden is enclosed and secure. There is also a laundry room equipped with washing machine and separate dyer and parking at the back for one car. The front of the property also offers seating within its wonderful flowered area.

Cottage is well placed for visiting other popular villages around the lakes. Grange over Sands is a quiet place and the cottage is beautiful.

A very nice cottage, immaculately clean, nice and warm too. Wonderful decor throughout, nice attention to detail. Very comfortable beds and beautiful decor in the bedrooms. Very quiet and peaceful, particularly liked the area to park the car, around the back. Very pleasant owners who are always happy to help you, should you need some help. This was our visit to this area,so really not sure what to expect.As for the accomidation Nutwood cottage couldn't be faulted with its quirky homely feel.The owners Mike and Deb have put a lot of thought into providing everything required for a relaxing stay its location is ideal with Lakes being a short dive away and within easy walking distance iRead mores the prominard and ornimental gardens for enjoyable walks with the dog, there are many dog friendly restaurants our favourite being the ESTUARY Hide

Nutwood Cottage is absolutely beautiful and was the perfect location for our holiday. The cottage had everything you need, and truly is a home from home. We had our dog with us, there is an excellent walk through the woods up Hempsfell just 2 minutes from the door. The town is a 5 minute walk in the other direction. We ate breakfast/brunch at the aRead moreward winning Hazelmere every day, it's only a few minutes from the cottage. The walk along the promenade is lovely. We will definitely return here! Hide

Lovely cosy cottage with super comfy king size bed. Within walking distance to grange over sands main shopping area lots of places to eat and some dog friendly. A lovely welcome pack was very much appreciated.

A beautiful cottage, well equipped, clean and cosy. Garden was safe and enclosed for our little dog, as described, which is not always the case. The bed, pillows quilt and linen were of an excellent quality and comfortable. A pleasure to come back to each evening.
