Recently refurbished, this cottage provides a special couple’s getaway in the glorious Kent countryside. Kick back, relax or head out and explore the many pubs, restaurants and local attractions nearby.

This recently converted to a high specification former cow shed is now a quaint country cottage situated on a working farm and conveniently located on the main road on the edge of the village of Rolvenden with easy access to local bus routes and the wider area beyond. This stunning pocket of the Kent countryside is home to many quaint villages where independent cafes, restaurants and antiques shops can be found. For those looking to soak up a bit of local culture during their stay, nearby Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens and Great Dixter House and Gardens are both well worth a visit. When not exploring the many footpaths that forge the rolling countryside, guests can head into nearby Tenterden and browse the wide range of independent shops or enjoy a delicious meal at the village pub in Rolvenden. A small courtyard brings you to a charming front door.

Step inside and up one step to be greeted by a beautifully decorated open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Light the wood burner and curl up on the comfy sofa or the armchair and enjoy watching a movie on the Smart TV/DVD. The dining table and chairs makes for a delightful area in which to enjoy romantic meals which have been whipped up in the bespoke, well-equipped kitchen. This spacious area boasts an electric oven and induction hob, dishwasher, fridge with ice compartment, microwave, coffee machine and washer/dryer. Retreat after a long day to the bedroom which features a king-size bed, and the property is completed with a beautiful bathroom that has a shower over bath and WC.

A door from the rear of the cottage leads into the garden, which is shared with the owner. There is a private secluded seating area with a patio table and chairs for al fresco dining, or alternatively the owner has provided additional seating overlooking the adjacent orchard and countryside beyond. There is private parking for one car and secure parking for motorcycles and bikes. Please note dogs to be supervised when in the garden, the owners two Labradors share the garden.

The Cow Shed, a tastefully converted listed building, is situated just outside Rolvenden on the A28 Hastings road alongside Cherry Garden Farmhouse. Very suitable for two people and a dog, and good base for exploring the High Weald and Romney Marsh areas by car. The village has pubs and shop, and nearby open garden. A really cost little cottage with the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in! The owners could not have been more helpful and our little dog, the Pocket Rocket,loved chasing apples up and down the garden!! It was a real home from home and we cant wait to return.

We extended our stay at the Cow Shed, the venue was perfect, clean, comfortable with everything we needed, Debra and Dan - the owners - were efficient, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I cannot recommend the venue, the owners or the area highly enough.

A really comfortable place to base ourselves to explore this part of Kent and Sussex. Lots to see and do locally and we appreciated the OS map of the area left in the cottage. We walked, visited gardens, houses, castles and the coast at Rye and Hastings - all within easy driving distances. Several delis, cafes and patisseries nearby too.

Lovely bijou cottage with everything you would need for a wonderful vacation. Hosts were very kind and gave lots of ideas to improve our holiday. Id left a drawer full of my items and Deborah went out of her way to return them via post. Would happily return here

A nicely converted old cowshed that was made into a comfortable outbuilding to holiday in. Characterful with wooden ceiling beams. Large living room . All mod cons provided. Clean and comfortable. The bedroom had a decent bed. Ample cupboard and bedside tables with drawers. Very good shower. Bath also as an alternative. All very smartly presented. The cottage was comfortable and there were walks nearby besides the owners garden to sit in. There was a bit of road noise as situated close to the road, but didn't find it too intrusive.

This cottage is situated in a beautiful area of the west Kent Weald, near to many interesting attractions and accessible to the coast. Wonderful Stay at The Cowshed our hosts made us and dogs so welcome. Beautiful conversion of old barn with open plan living dining and kitchen with fabulous log burner all modern appliances and well equipped kitchen. Lovely bathroom with amazing powerful shower and stunning double bedroom. We loved our stay at the Cow Shed. The king size bed and enclosed garden were high on our priorities. The log burner was an added bonus. I'd seen positive reviews about sharing the garden with the resident dogs and our little dog had a great few days! The garden was private and we felt that we had space to ourselves. We really enjoyed our stay at the Cow Shed. Deborah and Dan were very welcoming. The Cow Shed is immaculate inside and has the most comfortable bed I think Ive ever slept on! The Cow Shed isnt very far from Tenterden which has shops, pubs and restaurants. Its a lovely, picturesque part of the world!
