  • Located along a quiet country lane on the edge of a small village on a private estate
  • Plenty of walking trails and cycle routes from your front door
Property code: 42950

From the moment you step through the door you're struck by the attention to detail, exposed beams, 14th Century castellated archway and flagstone floors, yet still with a home away from home feel. It really is a stunning combination of ancient and modern luxury, complete with a castle wall.

In a fabulous location, on the edge of a small village there is heaps on offer, from walking and cycling from the door for all levels of fitness to gentle browsing in book lined Hay-on-Wye and nearby Brecon. A top location for nipping between nearby Brecon, with Cathedral and gateway to the serious hills and Crickhowell, with lovely independent stores and great access to the gentler Black Mountains. The Brecon and Monmouth Canal with pretty tow path runs nearby and there are also two significant rivers in the area, The River Wye, with fishing and canoeing available and the River Usk, famed for its fishing, with permits available locally.

Entering into a passage perfect for storing muddy wellies and coats, the lounge / kitchen / dining lies just beyond. The lounge has a wood burner (first basket of logs included), Smart TV, Blu-ray and French windows leading to the stunning terrace and garden outside. The extremely well equipped kitchen has electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge, freezer and coffee machine.

Upstairs is a beautifully furbished bedroom, with super-king-size bed, iPod dock and exposed beams. There is an en-suite bathroom fully tiled with full size bath, waterfall shower and WC. Luxurious robes, slippers and towels are all provided for your use as are the Noble Isle toiletries.

Outside is a private and enchanting enclosed garden, with outdoor furniture and BBQ. Beyond the estate you have access to acres of private woodland and parkland, and bike storage. Electric Vehicle charging is now available on site at an extra charge.

Two well behaved  dogs are welcome.

PLEASE NOTE -  all arrivals must be either a Monday for 4 nights, or a Friday for 3 nights, or 7 night durations starting on Monday or Friday.

Beautiful house and garden. The house is very well equipped, really appreciated that the owners had left fresh flowers. Lovely and very peaceful location. The park is great for walking the dog. Obviously a great deal of thought has been given to the cottage and it is all beautifully maintained.

We had a lovely stay at this cottage, very well equipped, had everything you could possibly need. The log burner was an added bonus and made the slightly chilly nights very cosey. Our 2 dogs loved the fields and the local walks, especially along the canal. Such a peaceful and relaxing stay to explore Brecon Beacons.
